Actually, proto-Arabs introduced pastoralism to Africa. Without them you wouldn't have goats, sheep, and camels. There also have been various impressive pre-Islamic Arabian civilizations, Arabs weren't completely backwards before Islam.

North Somalia probably had an extremely low population density in the past. Maybe as little as 3000 lived there around the time of Christ.

The low levels of decent nutrition probably explain a lot of the IQ scores in Africa.

Djibouti is the only country with a Somali government that is recognized by the international community, so attacking Dj should warrant an automatic ban. although as a northerner I would love to stroke my ego and believe that I am smarter than my southern brethren, I know realisticly speaking that is not the case, southern somali are as capable , intellectually as any other group of people in the world, they just need to understand one another, and put down the weapons, inshallah, that will be my wish, if I am fortunate enough to experience lailatul qaadar this ramadan.
