Yes. Of course. This is not a joke. They ask what region your parents are from. They ask both paternal and maternal clan lineages. They ask you about your political beliefs. They cross-examine you. They ask you very personal questions that go above and beyond. You cannot blend in with the African Americans at customs. They know about Somalis more than anyone else and there are barely any skinnies there. They can pronounce Hiraan, Berbera, Puntland, Somaliland in perfect Somali regardless of the fact that they all sound like JFK.

As long as you don't lie to them and smile, your pain and suffering will not be as bad. It will be terrifying and horrible and you will cry in the bathroom but it won't be as bad. But it will be bad. It will probably be in the top 5 worst moments in your life.

The problem is my UAE Residency Visa is also on it and it would mean I will have to to do it all over again since it does not expire till next year.

The worst they can do is refuse u entry and there is great chance they wont do that.Just be ready for some grilling.Dont volunteer info and just answer the bare minimum.

The Kenyattiga are becoming bad.Not long ago had a relative get held up in Nairobi for 3 hours. She knew they wanted money and she swore she wasnt giving them a penny.

Osob,

You will need to get a diplomatic visa before arrival from the State Department. Your stay will be limited to a specific area. Lots of effort than staring down a racist ass.hole.

P.S. the Somali Diplomatic passport had very little prestige.

Tuushi,

I hate traveling to Nairobi especially at night. To avoid the hassle, I got a 1 year multiple visa and it was smooth running. But applying for a visa on arrival is a nightmare. The best airport with the smoothest visa processing is Mogadishu. Pay the $50 and get the fock out. Galkacyo is all about the $20, drop it on the table and keep strolling.

AbdiWahab252,

Don't forget a big ass cross dangling from your neck and a Brady jersey. You gotta over-do for the Logan crew.

AW

Some of the US Visa for Somali Diplomatic passport holders are processed in Nairobi and Kampala which I can call upon my connections and since am only interested in getting to Boston, they can restrict me there. From what you guys are telling me, am just going to have a Plan B. Atleast with a Diplomatic Passport I get to avoid the normal line and gives me some immunity. BTW how much did you pay for your Kenya Visa. IAm getting a 2 year one for 1500 now. Mogadishu I never pay a penny

Bro this was my experience at the Nairobi airport... I came across a Somali sujiu at the desk, a custom official, and after processing me he goes "do you have any present" loooooooooooooooooooooooooool :deadrose:

Osob,

$1,500 is steep. I got my Abti to do my one year for $110. Go for the diplomatic route if you want but its not worth the trouble. Plus won't it affect your German nationality. If you get a Somali passport, the Somali government can detain you and hold you without any support form the Deutschland government

We never had a problem there.Except once that they hesitated giving me back my change of $15 and i wasnt having it.Few mins later, she gave the 10 snd left her with 5.

I have noticed it all depends where u r coming from tho.

osob $1500 ? That is steep.
