Men in Khaleej all have jobs because you can't get an iqamah without one. They don't have the choice to fall back like men do in the West because they wouldn't be all to live in the Gulf legally and have no safety net to fall back on. Qat is banned in Canada/U.S. and there are still single mothers, broken families etc. Maybe not on the same scale as the U.K. but there are definitely problems here as well.
