Since when were somaals ever united? forget the post-colonial pet project for a second and understand this concept of governance or nationhood is totally constructed and alien to our people and culture.

I'm not pro-somaliland or pro-somalia for that matter, I just want us to give up on this false sense of nationalism and embrace Islamnimo for a moment and just get on for the sake of allah s.w.t. and not for any cynical political motives.

so you are forcing us to become people with no national identity even the stoned Jamaicans have some thing they can identify with
islam was our religion for centuries aint no one takig that from us but what we need is a common purpose that we can all line up behind
is it extremely difficult to get there? absolutely yes , but can it be attained off coarse

National identity is a contemporary phenomenon which has been constructed over the past two centuries. We are somali people and most importantly muslim, saxiib. We don't need a national identity to define ourselves, Islam and our culture does that. No amount of flag waving or arbitary drawn borders is going to change that fact.

A common purpose? You think a political attempt at socially engineering us to pledge our loyalty to a flag is going to achieve anything. Pah! We don't need borders, we don't need flags (except the flag of Islam), we should embrace ourselves as brothers of the same cloth and simply BE as we have always been. Put your faith in Allah s.w.t and not the foreign agents who are force feeding you political frameworks which are alien to you.

But I'm being idealist I presume? We believe we have our fate in our own hands. Masters. Sovereign entities. No need for a god, because god doesn't have the power to help us - BUT! The Brits, Turks, Americans and Habesha do. (this is aimed at our politicians).
