InSomalia,

What is quite sad is that Cabdiweli's greed cost him his PMship. If he stuck with his boss, Sharif La Soo Gamay both he and CabdiProzac would be chilling in Villa Somalia. Instead he got greedy and PLand turned on their greatest President, Sharif La Soo Gamay, who did much for Pland.

And now what is this I hear that CabdiProzac wants to run for President of Pland ? Is this man mad ? Why can't he be like Mr. Cheese and go back to his old job ? :mindblown:

Self imposed exile is not the same as forced exile, your uncle Aideed was killed by a 12 year old Abgaal kid, and have not seen peace or glory ever since you looted your way the streets of Mogadishu.

On the one hand, Sheikh Shariif was owned by Puntland, but on the other Abdiweli Mohamed was his subordinate. It's clear to the whole world, let alone reasoned Somalis, that Abdiweli Mohamed was the one who pulled through the government while this religious hypocrite is studying up in the year 2013, AFTER calling himself president.

Dude, I don't really follow Somali politics enough to make sense of half the stuff you wrote unfortunately.

At any one time, if I know the President and Prime Minister of Somalia, I consider myself well informed.

Unlike any other pm or pr ...those that hail from puntland have a texas to go back to...what has farmaajo or sharif to go back to..they have achieved highest they could...maybe in the future once they have a federal state they hail from...but right now..xamar is like a graduation school for future puntland leaders...we shall only elect those that have xamar experience... only they know how to deal with the southern politics..

InSomalia,

Don't mistake me for being a fan of Sheik Sharif. This man is a lunatic but I give credit where credit is due. I had hoped for Cabdiweli to have been the smarter man and avoided being a poodle of Faroole and sought the seat free and clear without being known as Puntland'sMan (PM) instead of a Prime Minister for all of Somalia. That being said why embarrass himself by running for a clan state ?

Since when was BU a community college :wtf: ?

The fellowship pays for his education and he isn't the only ex-President do it.

Previous beneficiaries of APARC’s Former-Presidents-In-Residence fellowship are Zambia’s Kenneth Kaunda, Liberia’s Ruth Sando Perry, Botswana’s Ketumile Masire and Cape Verde’s António Mascarenhas Monteiro.
You guys are just manufacturing ways to try to insult the guy. I see nothing wrong with the news.

Abdiwahab,

I do not understand why Abdiweli is the object of your criticism. Surely if the only reason he became PM is because of the MJ seat, why would he be faulted for being a PM for the Puntland people? Say, he was a PM "for all of Somalia", then the people of Puntland would feel he did not represent them well. Pretty much "damned if you do and damned if you don't'" scenario.

The object of your criticism should lie with the 4.5 system and not Abdiweli. As long as 4.5 exists we will have people that serve their clan interests before the interests of the country. As long as 4.5 exists we will have the "less qualified" in positions where worthier people should hold. As long as this backwards system exists we will have leaders that dissappoint us.

In Somalia,

I had no qualms with Cumar Pillsbury Dough Boy Sharmarke. He seemed like a fair and balanced dude who wasn't a stooge of Faroole. The 4.5 system is corrupt and I look forward to a time when we have general elections. Many myths will be put to rest.

First and for most if his excellency Mudane Cabdiweli Gaas went back to his old job he would be lecturing Student Sharif and expecting homework assignments due on time.

Seconding Puntland is the most organized and most Powerful political entity to exist in Somalia at the moment. Why wouldn't a smart man like Abdiweli go after just a prestige entity he has full access to.

Unlike Mr Cheese iyo Sharif. Mudane Cabdiweli Gaas knows he can rule Mogadishu iyo the rest of Somalia from Puntland like Faroole has been doing.
