That's the truth sxb. We got niggaz under their own occupation (AMISOM, Kenya, etc) with dis-fractured banana republic trying to mislead us again. Last time they were chased and they left all of us behind to face Mengistu and his Cubans. We can't gamble second round and ally ourselves with cowards from Somalia Federation.

Those days are gone. They should worry about rebuilding their own lives, banana republic and taking their refugees back.

I rather have the Habesha highlanders than Hutu. Very simple choice guys. And I never advocate for Somaliland secession. It has two choices; reunite with the south and get itself a better deal including working with Puntland and moving the capital to Erigavo...or join Ethiopia with Somali Region...it doesn't become a region of Ethiopia but sort of like an Emirati state within Ethiopia with its own separate government but same currency and army....its own capital and government.

I believe in regional integration not dis-fracturing and Balkanization.

Somalis in Ethiopia are better off with the rest of the Ethiopian community, we have a market of 100 million people and diverse goods, services, culture, language, produce, markets, climate, etc.

We just need to work on human rights and more freedom.

There is no disintegration in my book.

If it was up to me I do add Somaliland into Ethiopia...they have to understand Ethiopia is their immediate neighbour, their interest, their main market and is more relevant than Mogadishu. If they can't get along with Mogadishu, they should enter voluntary neo-fuctionalism initiative and by this I mean cross-border co-operation between Somaliland and Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is the future and there is no point back-paddling it now. We already went through the difficult period. Now its just matter of twigging few things and sailing ahead.

After 30 years, Somalia will be very jealous and would wish it was part of by then 150 million market...Somalia still struggling with 20 million nomads.

The problem that I have with many so called Somalilanders is that they are not visionary but emotional thinkers...like dumaarka...if her husband slaps her she hates him temporarily as soon as he apologizes she is on-board.

Hawdian don't interject tribe into this, however I actually think your Pan-Horn thinking is a step in the right direction. The unfortunate thing is our people "Somalis" are militaristically naive. With the erosion of the nation state and the interdependence of their economies it makes little sense to drive a wedge between neighbours. We must understand that even if we dislike Ethiopia the law of large numbers is in their favour. It is also a pluralistic nation with multiple ethnic groups. Ultimately if Ethiopia is doing well financially the horn will also prosper.Keep the emotions at bay when you have to think about financial interest(s).

First, Ethiopia's largest population are our distant relatives - the Oromo and half of the Habeshi are Muslim. Secondly, we are not forcing you to impregnate them, so chill. Thirdly, who said anything about taking over, they normally stay out of Somali-inhabited land. Stop living in history and letting your emotions get the best of you, get with the times. Use your God-given talents in commerce to do something that benefits your people "Somalis."

The people from Southern Somalia like the idea of feeling being needed. They love that. We are telling them Somali Region is integral part of Ethiopia and we no longer in 1977. You guys need to move on and worry about your batted banana republic which only exists on paper and old maps.

Ethiopia is going to expand into Somalia regions such as Somaliland and integration is already in early stages...for example education, trade and even militarily.

Ethiopia has already replaced Somalia in Somaliland region in many areas including fruit and vegetable markets, aviation (Ethiopian airlines no one knows Somali Airlines remains dead), etc etc...Admas university, Addis Ababa Medical College...

Somalia is not in a stage it should reoccupy itself with Somali Region to divert attention from its own miseries.
