You guys only seen Dir clans that assimilated into Oromo and Somalinized Oromo assimilated into Dir. This is the real Oromo and the largest group. The Wollo are assimilated (into Amhara) and are not pure Oromo either.

Real Oromo

If those are oromos, they are Guji meaning assimilated gedeos, a southern cushetic group.

The Dir clans are Jarso, Akisho, Gurgura and few other minorities. While the Garre and Gari are Rahawein clans. For instance Garre is related to Tunni and the Geledi of Digil.

There are no Wollo in Diredawa. Only the assimilated ones. The real Oromo is in southern Ethiopia.

The Wollo (Wallo) are the most elite groups of all Oromo and all Oromo wannabes. The Wollo are more close to Amhara than eastern Oromo and pretty much are tthe key to free Oromia. If they are not onboard there is no Oromia.

You really don't know much about Oromos at all.

A Somali trying to teach me about my own people. And where did I say my grandma was from Dire Dawa?

There is no such thing as an elite clan. The Wallo Oromo culture is like any other oromo, they may dress different(women) but all the same.

The Jarso are not Dir, and no one is claiming Gurguras, they are your..

Akichu are oromo, tell me the meaning of their subclan names.

I'm not claiming to be an expert on Oromo. Like I said if you know Oromo, you have just graduated from a university. Nor do you know them yourself.

The fact that you claim Akisho is Oromo says it enough.

Every society has an elite and the Wollo are the supreme elite of Oromos that's why your not free from the dominance of Shewans.

Also the Akisho are Somalis and their sub-clan mean in Somali "Reer" or the clan of. You Oromos have your own word and Somali Akisho have their own words.

For example Oromo use Warre and we use Reer...example Waro-Kiyo is Reer Kiiyo.

I know some of their sub clans such as the miiyo who live in Jigjiga, Wajale and surrounding. Also you have reer Heeban, reer Daayo...they have nothing to do with the real Oromo.

Dir clans include Gadsan, Isse, Samaron, Biyamal, Wardey, Akisho, Gurgure (Gurgura), Midgan, Barsuug and many others. By far they are the largest Somali clan but many of them are lost since they spread far and wide.

If you are assimilated Oromo, we welcome you into Somali culture otherwise please return to your Amhara/Wollo master before he blames us for brainwashing you :)

Talk about splitting hairs!! At the end of the day Ethiopians & other Hamitic people are our brothers in arms! You see Africa is rapidly being engulfed by descendants of "Homo Erects" ---> http://shadowness.com/Akela/homo-erectus-pekinensis

We need more human beings to hold down our small parcel of land on the African Continent against the growing savage barbarians to the South & West! Give your offspring's a fighting chance & don't interbreed with HOMO ERECTS----> http://shadowness.com/Akela/homo-erectus-pekinensis

I do not consider light-skinned as complete beauty. One thing I dislike about Amhara females is their hair. Whereas Somali females have very beautiful hair

But I personally believe we look more like Amhara's than Oromos. Yes, Oromo share similar genetics us but I totally see as have more in common with Amhara both physically and characteristically. Now lets not look down on Amhara cause they used to be our arch-enemies and we always used to compete with each other. Lets be honest, Amhara are business savy likes Somalis, they are arrogant like Somalis, they do not suffer from inferiority-complex likes Somalis and they are noble and prestige beings like Somalis.

Whereas Oromos are like the opposite. I'm not hating on Oromos but they are working-class race of East Africa. Give me famous Oromo's in the world, give me Oromo business around the world.

What do you guys think? Are we more in common with Amhara's or Oromos?
Be proud of yourself. Amharas would never make a thread like this for you.
