@Grant
That is a study conducted by Royal Voluntary Service. It's like asking Blair about how great it is for the world to bomb the Middle East. It is bias. As bias as a government full of 65+ year olds handing out accolades to other old people. :lol: Besides, voluntary work done by the old generally benefits the old.

I like the links he always posts. This is a way to get more links out of him, perhaps. :lol:

Rocky,

It is something else that is not being siphoned from your generation. :up:

Hyper,

That's just sad.

I had a great aunt who was still managing her farm in her early nineties. My grandfather was killed in an automobile accident at the age of 77, driving alone at night in a snowstorm. He was still operating a 200-cow ranch by himself and putting up the hay with horses and just one man to help him in the summer. I expect still to be able to supplement my retirement into my early eighties. Inshahallah. It's all about health and having a good work attitude.

Oh Dear Grant, no offence. my own grandfather lived close to 100 years and was still used to teach that age in his masjid. but not something i want for myself. i know when you're 22 leave alone 60, even 45 seems long road.

good luck to you though.

I feel for the elderly in nursing homes where their families abandoned them at. It sucks. Some centers are good but the majority of them are horrible conditions for any human being to live in.
