I think the civil war killed off all the classy people and left the dregs and badows.

Parasite for knowing what's wrong with our society and not afraid to face the facts? He's harsh and I don't like the brutal truth of his comments sometimes, but can you deny them? lol

There's nothing factual or truthful about the comment below but everyone is entitled to an opinion

LH is melodramatic, I think he would be lost in a perfect world.

A bit of a sensationalist comment, yes. I think Arabs are far more vile than us. But I also believe that we have the capacity to come together and achieve great things once we can get our priorities in order - and LH says this alot. This qabiil hatred breeds a plethora of attrocities. Not to mention the affects of a war-torn generation.

I remember my ayeeyo telling me how it was before the war - walaaltinimo and national identity was strong, everyone was focused on building a great future. After the war it's like crabs in a bucket. But we are proud people. Once the cuuqdad is gone, and we see the benifits in shedding the hatred, we'll move forward.

I disagree PO. Every society needs its critiques in order to push it to be the best it can be, always.

This one of my favorite posts concerning qabil.
BlackVelvet wrote:

We need people who can create a system that allows Somalia and Somalis to slowly move away from the qabiil mentality. Qabiil is a symptom of poverty, when you have nothing your qabiil is your protection. Even in this day and age, they are the ones who will build you wells and schools in your tuulo. We are not in a place where we can, from an economic standpoint, shun qabiil. Eventually when Somalia progresses enough that the poor are not begging for handouts from their kinsmen, when qaaran is replaced by taxation and a welfare system, then perhaps we will be able to take the first steps away from qabyalad.

Lmao, LH, is quite funny actually. He's the first person to assassinate the "somalinimo" and the first to defend it when it's questioned.

It would be cool if there was a step by step book/manual/system that people could follow and government. Explaining how society can be less dependent on qabil.

It would be cool if it was forced on the government and students.
