Ive seen many that look somewhat Somali. Ive been trying to find a base to estimate their numbers but it's pretty hard as they are incorporated into Somali clans. They are not considered Bantu though just Jareerweyne. According to an colonial estimate in the early 20th century there were around 70,000 Bantus in Somalia; just wondering if this included the JareerWeyne.

Jareerweyne is just the Somali word for Bantu.

Somalia does not have any native Negroid populations like Ethiopia does (they have indigenous Anuak, Nuer, Gumuz etc). All the Negroids in Somalia are of Bantu origin.

Yes but they are different, there are more recent ones whom have recently been brought into the country as slaves and they live in Jubbaland. They dont have as much contact with Somalis and they tend speak their own language. They also look different. It's these that are the ones that were moved to Maine, United States.

The ones in the Shabelle and the Jubba look pretty much the same to me. I see no Somali semblance in them.

According to experience of learned folks they look different. It could be Somali admixture in these ones from Shabelle region. They have lived amongst Somalis for centuries and have been incorporated into clans ranging from Rahanweyne to Biyoomaal to Hawiye Abgaal. Mixing has certainly occured, this is why the jareer from the shabelle region (primarily) look different. Ive noticed Somalis with more dubious origins (Degodia, Ajuran, Rahanweyn Garre well they arent Somali but oromo) tend to look Oromo/Borana at times.

It is obvious, that they are related Cushitic people, look at the southern Egyptians who are their remnants. Look at the Beja people of coastal Sudan. Then take a look at Somalis mixed with white people, they look exactly like Egyptians today which suggests that Egypt was overrun and the native population mixed with the Arabs.

I didn't write that Jareerweyne should stay. They should all depart back to Tanzania, even the ones that were mixed, or mixed recently like half and half people. To be honest I hope Somalia puts that rule in and especially if anyone does break this law they should be sent to the country of their childs origin to live with those people. Somali society still doesn't accept these people but it is the ruling people who are puppets and don't care what happens to the Somali demographic, I was in Mogadishu and it's annoying how many there are, they are called Somali wasakh but tbh shouldn't even be called Somali anything. Probably because there was a large southern expansion for Cushitic people during the colonization of Africa. Had the colonization and the British not come for another 50-100 years then most of Kenya and possibly parts of Tanzania would be 99% Cushitic but the British stopped the expansion of Somali and Oromo and other Cushitic groups that now live in Kenya's Marsabit and Isiolo counties. And these areas would be 99% Cushitic due to Somali rules of not marrying or having children with Bantus. Only keeping a minor part of these peoples as slaves.
