We (Columbus, Ohians) were behind because we did not have gangs. Therefore, there were no interest in joining the police force. After few isolated cases were reported, and many new arrivals from refugee camps and other cities arrived, the need to get the Somali the law enforcement by officials came up. Cities where you have huge crime within Somalis is where you have people joining the police force.

California is a liberal state, so joining the police force is not an issue. Keep in mind, in San Diego which is near Orange County, CA (a Los Angeles suburb), you have many Somalis there!

In South Carolina, I was near there in 2004, and only Somali Bantu was brought in from refugee camps at that time. In Charleston, S.C.; and Greenville, S.C.; I did not see any Somalis there. Never heard of Somali Barawaani being the police chief in S.C. You're dealing with a southern state with many loyalists of confederacy, and I doubt Somalis were appointed as a the police chief. Bro, you may want to check that story!

Don't forget Ohio is mostly a conservative state, so breaking thru the system takes time!

I stand corrected, so it happened in 2010. I am glad the Mexican assailant who shot the poor guy was also shot and killed by other officers. You don't shoot Officers who are just doing their Job and certainly not Somali law enforcement.

He retired from Alexandria and went to North Carolina to take the big job there.

Prince William County in Virginia has hired it's first Somali police officer, some Abgaal dude.

Games, you stated S.C. and I disputed it. So, my challenge was confirmed by you. I worked in Charlotte, N.C. in 2004 and he was not there at that time. You should understand South Carolina and North Carolina are two different states that is next to each other. Anyhow, more power to the brother. It seems he has a long-career in law enforcement.
