First of all
Its SonOFANomad and second of all! Fulani berbers who migrated into west africa & intermarried. The pure Fulani are one clan & they are just pure berbers!

However, it is generally recognized that Fulani descended from nomads from both North Africa and from sub-Sahara Africa. The history of the Fulani seems to begin with the Berber people of North Africa around the 8th or 11th century AD. As the Berbers migrated down from North Africa and mixed with the peoples in the Senegal region of West Africa the Fulani people came into existence. Over a thousand year period from AD 900 - 1900, they spread out over most of West Africa and even into some areas of Central Africa. Some groups of Fulani have been found as far as the western borders of Ethiopia. As they migrated eastward they came into contact with different African tribes. As they encountered these other peoples, they conquered the less powerful tribes.

Along the way many Fulani completely or partially abandoned their traditional nomadic life in favor of a sedentary existence in towns or on farms among the conquered peoples. They remain to be the largest group of nomadic people in the world.

No its not just like saying somalis are mixed! Cuz to arrive to that conclusion you must have DNA, Historical,Genetic & Linguistic Proof!

As all relations among somalis historically is fixated on the horn and nothing else! no proof historical!

Somalis are different from other africans most purest and have horner DNA E1b1b while other africans got a different genom example E1a1a!

Not only that sayin we are mixed not backed by cranio facial skull wise where somalis are the most narrow elongated humans in the world!

Sonofanomad, i really don't like going up and down arguing over things like this. I have told u and still telling u, that fulanis ain't mixed nor originated from berbers, those articles are all false, i advise u to ask a question concerning this in the culture section of nairaland, were u will get a debate with facts from reliable sources from our members. The funny thing is that, the first articles is from a ghanaian website, a country were the fulanis there are almost insignificant, and i saw another error, which stated that the fulanis in W.A are 18million, lol! As at 2006 nigerian census, nigerian fulanis were 15-20million, now it's estimated to be close to 30m. It doesn't make sense, if u say the fulanis are mixed, then why aren't they any berbers in west africa? It can't be that the berbers mated with other ethnicity in westafrica and never mated with themselves. That's what the white wants u to believe and the same whites claimed that somalis are mixed. All those articles are all b.s,so what do u have to say concerning the tauregs of W.A who looks almost like the fulanis? Will u tell me there are product of berbers admixture as well?

Sonofanomad. Oh sorry, i just read ur article concerning the tauregs, i take back my questions and i have no fact to defend them but i never taught they could be mixed but i still won't believe until a serious debate is done about this, loool! Not by me though. I don't just have the time.

Nigeria is not Bantu. Nigeria is multi-ethnic democrat and good example to all Africans. They have anyone from Bantus, Nilo-Saharan, Cushitic to just about any African group. They are so diverse. The Hausa and the Fulani are not Bantus for instance.
