Huuno, I agree with you but hablaha maanta jooga badana waxay oo badan yahiin il taag they are forever trying to out do each other. He might be genuine but she might not be happy with what he can give her ..he has to be careful. I know a lot of marriages that ended in divorce because girls were desperate to get married just to get out of their parent's home ..so they settled for the first Farax who proposed ...few months down the line reality settles in and they can't deal and bail. Men lie about what they want and so do women, my advice to him is to ensure that his 'wife-to be' is aware ..otherwise he should just wait until he is financial capable.

I see more Somali girls at the gym than Somali guys and most are single. So if they are only getting fat after marriage there is truth to what you are saying. But a better question is why are Somali men skinny malnourished stickmen? Why do they look like holocaust survivors? Why do they look like they are auditioning for Save The Children commercial.

I think it has more to do with metabolism and lifestyle, more than anything.

Where I live, Somali girls between the ages of 19-25 engage in very little physical activity. When they go out to their friends, they mainly go to the movies, restaurants, get-togethers, and shisha spots. And there's no problem with that, since the girl is still young and she has a fast metabolism. I know many young Somali women who engage in almost ZERO exercise yet they have an amazing body. But when they get older, their metabolism slows down and their eating/exercise habits haven't changed one bit. Hence why you see some of them gain weight precipitously after the age of 25.

Somali guys on the other hand---although beset with their own problems, are generally much more physically active than their female counterparts. At least the men play basketball/soccer once in a while, and although Somali men themselves are in pretty bad shape.....their eating habits, metabolism, and exercise habits haven't caught up to them quite as fast. Only when the men pass their 30's do you start seeing the calool come out.

Now I'm only speaking on what I observe. I can't speak for Somalis who live outside of Canada.

it's really a combination of fadhiga+the somali high carb diet+ somali genes. Italians eat pasta everyday haddana baruurtu ma khasifto like dumarka Somalida.

Kulaha Shahwo might be one of the reasons why they get fat. If that was the case all the females that Swallow would be the size of whales.

I have noticed a lot of fine Single mothers and single women around my area. I even see some at the gym but rarely a married woman.
