He replied to someone who said Somalis and Ethiopians are light skinned and proved them that his Igbo Nigerian friend is several shades lighter than him. Can you define "Black"? Americans failed to define it. Who was legally white in Virginia was not in other states. And who was not considered Black in Florida was considered Black in other states. Will you apply one-drop rule on your Somalilander friend?
One of my relatives had children from Vietnamese woman he married in 50's and all his children look pure Vietnamese. How will you classify them? Your Somalilander friend should not bother arguing with bunch of Europeans who don't really know who their biological fathers are. Unlike them he can trace his lineage to the 14th century or even further more. His patriarch shrine is in Mayd along with only his children and wives. What else he wants?
