Somali politics is like a chess game minus the analytical part of the game. You make a move after your opponent makes a move but in the Somali case it is always stupid and unnecessary.
Why couldn't the Somali government be neutral and not cut ties with anyone until one of them does?
WHy is puntland cutting ties with Saudi just to oppose the Somali government?
Why do Somali politicians make decisions based on hebel iska dhici?

I am pro iranian, but Somaliland has too much economic and strategic stakes with the damned arabs,
we cannot afford to alienate them.

Summary
- Federal government should have consulted with Puntland before severing ties
- Shia caused us no problem, they are our friends (keep in mind Faroole signed deals with them to loot our fish stocks)
- We should be playing a role in making peace between the Arabs and Iran not severing ties
- We condemn this severing of ties, we will stand with Iran
While siilaanyo put several of them caught spreading shiasm in jail for 10years
Shia'a are muslim and Somalia should determine its own foreign policy without the black-mail of Saudi-Arabia. PL aren't a country and shouldn't be consulted for their advice
but should be informed of the severation of ties and the reasons for it, allowing them to negotiate in that respect.
Somalia could make a name for itself in the region if it could bring both to the table, we have many bargaining chips as the world's most strategic nation and with our plentiful resources.
Therefore PL's comments are a bit disrespectful but not disgusting.
