Combined security forces handled this unfortunate situation with poise and speed, the attackers were unable to get to main areas of the hotel and thus targeted anyone. This type of incident could've happen anywhere in the world but the response was better than almost any other attack in Mogadishu.

Wallahi billahi I am absolutely gobsmacked by the response and resolution to this attack. I am hearing about maturity and growth on a STRUCTURAL level from private security to NISA to Police in terms of collaboration, speed, and tactics.

This makes sense, how did they get past all the checkpoints? Some reports are saying they attacked by foot and jumped over the wall using.ladders. They have changed their attack from VBIED to all out foot assault.

Doctors have just come out to family and updated them.

What people thought was a shrapnel wound is actuallya bullet to the stomach that went through.

Doctors said it was a clean exit which fortunately missed any vital organs.

He is stable and fine right now
