First footsteps in East Africa

Just to add my lil cents, here is an account of the other root the slave trade was taking.

What you will notice is how all the Arabs who came to East Africa were criminals or merceneries hoping to make quick money. No wonder why my Somalis are all hypocrates cos they say they are Muslims but at the same time they worship their ancestors.

Their "Islamism" did not had a good start except thieving or murdering.

I think the reason the coastal cummunities(like mine) became Muslims were so that they don't become victims since Muslims were not allowed to be sold as slaves.

This is silly, how could a Oromo tell a Somali that he lacks identity and culture..when the reality is that Oromas are the largest ethnic group in the World who don't have a land of their own..can't use their own language and culture in their schools..who have been subjected to the rule of Xabeshee minority for over 500 years..


Chemical Ali you are right about SOmalis being divided..but you are wrong about Somalis not having identity and culture... because identity, culture and pride are the whole reason why Somalis are divided into klans in the first place..
