abrahamic you said that rahanweyn is the largest clan family in somalia so could you explain to us why they appear to be marginalized on the political spectrum?
surely the largest should be ruling but instead we see that they are not the ones making the decision.
i also question how integrated rahanweyn are with in somalia, they seem to be just above the minority groups but below the others, would you as a rahanweyn be open to secession? if so how much land would you claim for yourself's
Rahanweyn were marginalized since the independence. Can you imagine that their political party won 26% of the seats in 1950s during colonial times? They didn't get access to opportunities in government, military, business, etc. Their mistake was not taking arms to defend ourselves at the beginning of the civil war. Our peacefulness was misinterpretted as weakness until RRA liberated some of the Rahanweyn land from the Aideed militia. We believe in Somali unity, and a good system of governance where everybody gets their rights and political power based on demographics. We inhabit most of the areas between the two rivers, from Bakool to Bu'aale, from Afgooye to Luuq. The east of Jubba river in Gedo and Middle Jubba is majority Rahanweyn territory.

a great country indeed. i believe the rahanweyn must first consolidate control of the two rivers in somalia, these will come in handy to creating a self sufficient nation.blood wrote:bay and bakool and gedo would make a great state.Musa26 wrote:raxanweynia the free and independent newest nation on earth should be created. this way the good rahanweyn people wont have to deal with mogadishu the accursed cityabrahamic33 wrote:

Recognition will most likely never happen. Your best bet is to become a self-governing region.

The jahiiliin darood always sensitive its more likely zoomalia will stay unstable and never peaceful.

Re: Rahanweyn (Digil & Mirifle) are the largest clan family in Somalia
It's the cold hard facts sxb. It's just how it works. It's been 25+ years already. Maybe after 25 more years you will finally get the memo. This ictiraaf thing is not happening and it has nothing to do with Darood. The powers that be do not want to recognise Somaliland and you do not have a strong case for changing that perspective.GubanOgoHawdJSL wrote:I dare you to come here and see for yourself a de facto state is nonetheless a country.Raganimo wrote:According to international law and the international community, Somaliland is a regional state in Somalia.GubanOgoHawdJSL wrote: There is no such thing try again xayawaan.

If I was a daroodist it would be against my interests to share a country with Isaaqs as we would then run the risk of hawiyes and Isaaq trying to sideline us from the political process. SL recognition would be good for us from a tribal policy perspective. At least now, we only have to deal with the hawiyes.
