Mukhtaar,

Exactly my point  Doesn't that mean that your marriage is broken? Unless you help her in the house chores specially if she works and have kids then you will end up with the Albanian Steak   So better learn to cook and clean before it is too late...You don't want the Albanian Steak do you?

kambuli,

Steak should stay in the kitchen  Qof Jiro Qolka Jiifka

Perhaps the problem is that Somali girls also need to start exercising....maybe do 30 minutes of treadmill jogging 3 times a week.....then she will have more energy not to be Albanian steak.

oo kambuli,

yaa diidsan giving her a hand....I'm just saying waxaan ka baqaayaa inee igu barato oo everyday igu tiraahdo "Suuqa ayaan ka soo daahaayaa ee aboowe casho sii bilow"

Teeda kale, she has to keep her cardiovascular endurance high so she will have the desire.......otherwise mar walba wee caajisee oo excuse ayaa lagu siin and you might start hearing she has month-long caado.

If the man has to only have 1 wife and you don't want him looking anywhere else for #2, he has to leave the house asagoo dergay

Gedo,

so let me get this, if u come home first and see that dinner has not yet been made, u’ll wait until ey suuqa ka soo laabato miyaa. all that time aqalka uunbaad iska dhex fadhinee complaining..why can’t u start preppin’ for casho till she comes home..the recipe is right there on the fridge door. hadii kale, reach for the lonely man diiner in the freezer and pop it in the microwave.

Alow farax dhib jecelaa.

Gedo,

We are not talking of naag jilicsan, basari, baali, nacas, caajisad etc
Just a regular Xaliimo...How about if she gets off work e.g at 7:00 PM and you get off work at 4:00 PM.. Wouldn't it be a good idea for the man to start the dinner?

But it is all about how the husband sees his wife...If he sees her as an instrument or as his heart...and soul....Naagtii la jecel yahay, markii ay kaalmo u baahan tahay wuu iska garanayaa ninkeedu...Tii aan la jeclaynna Ilaahay bay leedahay.. It is very scary to be married to someone who is indifferent to his wife's welfare... :(

Cooking is the one thing that should be confined to a Xalimo and Farax has no business near those pots and pans. A man's heart is through his stomach, a Xalimo can earn her hubby's love if she fills his tummy, besides, that is the only thing she can have him dependant on her so spare me the "women like men who can cook" tirade.

Trust me all Faraxs on this one, they don't want you poking our nose where it doesn't belong.

Kambuli,

I am going to be the ONLY breadwinner in the house and I expect a hot meal and an eager women waiting for me, is that too much to ask?

zulaika/kambuli,

If my wife had to:

1. Work
2. Was pregnant.
3. Was sick.
4. Was fatigued or exhausted....

Ofcourse I will start dinner and make things easier for her when I can......why are you trying to make me look like a bad guy?

This is how we were created....a woman who cooks for her husband and keeps a good house will own her husband's heart.

How many times did I tell you that insha'Allah my wife will NOT have to work....so why is she coming home @ 7pm? maxaa daalinaayo? wareeg & waabtiris when she hasn't even made dinner for her husband?

I already said before her main responsibility will be her home and her education until she finishes her education or at least gets a degree.....and I would be paying for her school. 8)

bal i sheeg is that so evil or selfish? Maybe I'm old fashioned laakin dumar ninkeeda daqaneenin is almost like having another man in the house except meel un bee ka jeexantahay...

Men are like babies OK......do you ever tell your child: "Hoyo go get the Similac powder and clean one of your baby bottles and mix up 12 ounces of baby formula hooyo wee daalantahay"

....but maxaa isku sheegenaa even some mothers neglect their babies. 8)

Why are women willing to spend thousands of dollars on feminine products to look so beautiful and then run around magaalada and come home so tired that they are asking the husband to start dinner?

Forget about all makeup, nothing makes me more attracted to a woman in a simple dirac smelling clean with a uunsi smelling house cooking nice food......that is the peak of femininity...

the Victoria's Secret models are just laxam (i.e bodies), but that is a woman you just wanna kiss

Sir, quote " I am going to be the ONLY breadwinner in the house and I expect a hot meal and an eager women waiting for me, is that too much to ask?

No, not really...That is a peace of cake...and this is a topic that I always discuss with fellow Halimos..When I see a house-wife complaining about shaqo-guri....I was even disgusted of this women, even though she is a "guri joogto" asks her husband when he comes from work to go back and get something from the store"! I once advised her to ask her husband to bring things before he comes home..She can call him at work you know, so that he grabs things on his way not when he comes home....

Gedo, quote " but maxaa isku sheegenaa even some mothers neglect their babies"

True walaal...and there tons of men out there who neglect both their babies and their wives aka family....

But as long as you are the sole bread winner in the household it is understandable that the wife does the house chores...Nothing wrong with that walaal...

Balaayo waxay dhacday, marka xaaskii oo xaamil ah oo maantoo dhan shaqo soo tumeysey, some of them working in factories, and comes home the same time the husband came...and the husband looks for the TV remote while the wife is running here and there like a mad person... :(
