Are you saying the South and Somaliland will attack Garowe for getting their oil? I know all puntlanders are part of this process
MJ no it doesn't mean it will happen their either but at this point in time Somalia and Puntland are weak and fractured.

Cadde Muse right now already **** money from Puntland for his own personal benefits, do u think him or anyother greedy politician will stop because there is oil. No they will just ***** more money.

This will be even worst as people see the money flow and will get hostile as some get rich while they stay poor.

Without a stron central government this oil deal looks like disaster.

Its not somethin I am wishing for Puntland but the evidence is in the history, in Sudan, Nigeria, Congo, etc. where the root of the conflict is oil.

The security is in Place to deal with any hostiles. We already have a Central Government Puntland and this Project will strength this Dowlad. It only takes Money to change things around in Somalia. Even you enemy will be your friend once he sees Green!!!
Well thats the thing, the money is gonna probably gonna end up goin into the hands of Cadde Muse and some clan elders he buys off, not the people of Puntland. Cause of conflict right there.

Cadde Muse is pretty much robbing Puntland now, do u think he will stop if oil money comes?

Sxb you are running around like a headless chicken, first it's the security now your talking about our President pocketing the money.

Whatever the outcome maybe, it doesn't concern you or any other Non-Puntlander, we will handle it peacefully. It's our problem not yours.

You guys should worry about your people joining Abdullahi in demolishing the south, not about us.

ie. Mohamed Dheere, Abdiqeybdid.. this is not Majerten in the south causing havoc but one man supported by the natives of the South.

Security and Presidents pocketing money go hand in hand. When some folks are gettin rich while the average guy is brok it causes insecurity.

But u can have it ur way it doesn't concern me.

Well it hasn't happened yet, right? So you are just speculating, have you ever thought that maybe he is trying to redeem himself by making good use of this money?

All these claims are baseless, and I see it as an attempt to set as back. Sxb we are moving forward, whether you people like it or not.

Clan politics rules the North, Adde or any President in the North wont get by pocketing the profits. If corruption which is yet to happen does happen then the clans or sub-clans from that region will get rid of him. Look at Garowe, Galckayo and Bosaso without oil revenue, if oil is discovered Bosasso will be the next Dubai corruption and all.

SHirib,

Don't mind these clowns and their fantasy dreams. Meles Zenawi is going to exact a high fee.

You can see the hypocrisy of these same clowns especially their President who avoids going to the Parliament to pass an oil law but instead writes a memo authorizing foreign drilling and research.

Btw, we have a heck of more oil and natural gas in the South:

1. Hobyo 1 & 2 Sites explored by Sinclair Oil & offshore oil/gas fields

2. Afgoye - explored by Conoco for natural gas deposits.

3. Marka - Offshore gas field

4. Ras Kamboni - Offshore oil/gas - It is miles away from where the Kenyans are exploring for natural gas/oil.

5. Waajid

At this point everything is speculation.

Wallahi I don't mean it as undermining Puntland or wishing bad on them. I was just saying my concerns, I would say the same exact thing if it was in Xamar or Afgooye.

If everythinh goes through well for Puntland then its a good step forward :somalia:
