Navy, because i am tired of people asking my qabiil. Even those i called best friends of mine right now, have asked waxaan ahey and which tribe i belong to, whereas i never ask anyodys qabiil. Sometimes i feel like i wish i could speak like eelaay, reer waqooyi or Abgaal. so it would have been easy for them to figure out..
2) I have seen a lot of Somali people who dont like going to Banadir restaurent because the owner is Majeerteen.

You live in Columbus! I have been there maybe 4 or 5 years ago and there was this somali chic who slapped another chic in a party. I was so shocked.

I think asking for the qabil thing should be taken as a normal, do not be sensitive. That is what I have learned from my observations: almost all somalis think alike. And probably the only reason why they want to know is if they gonna gossip, they want to know first that you are their ally otherwise you might surprise them by your fireworks

I only met Somali people in Uni though they live 20 minutes away. Growing up i use to see them only on Eid and wedding occasion's and there was not a single somali in any of my school's.

I can honestly say I just befriend people from my own sub clan for the first in my life, My friends are usually from diff tribes and it dont bother me cuz we never talk about tribes, allthough I do have friends I joke around with. For me somalis are somalis in real life and I dont give a hoooooooooot about qabiil iyo qolomad tahay shidh.
