the terrorist (obama) thinks islam is a hippie deen that is acceptable of everything - including shirk, homosexuality, feminism, etc - and that its followers will accept having their land invaded and occupied or just outright stolen, their children and women massacred and raped, their deen disrespected and insulted, etc.

we can thank the gutless and cowardice muslim defeatists for this false pic which the mushriks have of islam and its people.

He’s telling people what they want to hear, but behind the curtain, a whole different scenario is playing out.

a kafir shouldn't never quote the book and the sunnah - especially on fiqh issues, as those are secondary issues - if they haven't yet rejected shirk and then accepted tawheed. to understand islam, you must first accept it.

i think those behind the current islamic dawah are to be blame for this. the islamic dawah to the mushrikeen must be all about the call to tawheed; that's first and only thing the mushrikeen need to know about al-islam. if they accept islam, then precede to teach them about the basics (e.g. the five pillars of islam, proper recitation of the quran), and then aqeedah and manhaj issues, then fiqh issues, etc, etc. everything has its place.

but no, moderate-muslims, sufis and salafi murjites, HTs, etc love to spread their false dawah designed to make islam look like buddhism.

What state? Care to explain what ‘state Islam is in’ please!
"To understand Islam, you must first accept it."

What’s so strange or even sad about the above statement? It’s commonsensical! Islam equals true faith and if you can truly comprehend Islam for the beautiful religion it really is... you will evidently learn to accept it as the truth... hence why it is the fastest growing religion in this world today

Somali Star... Allah swt knows best at all times walaalo but, the audience irritated me even more each time they cheered... just because he quoted an ayah from the Quran... I mean ?? :|

Obama said:
When the holy land of the three great faiths is the place of peace that god had intended it to be, When Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra! As in the story of Isra; when Moses, Jesus and Mohamed PBUH joined in prayer.

I smiled when he said PBUH after mentioning our beloved Prophet Mohamed PBUH  ... ALlahu Aclam but I've never seen a non-believer also a politician who addressed the prophet pbuh in this manner :P: I have to give credit where it is due although I felt unease with him quoting from the Quran!

The administration should have choose a different venue, but in the Arab World... virtually all these countries are dictatorships... if he wanted to talk to the Muslim World.. he should have did it in his old home in Jakarta.

Anyway, Americans are dumb so they probably learned something from this speech

This speech was primarly made to target an ARAB audience .
They even checked the way it would come out when TRANSLATED in Arabic .
You either appreciate the effort or stfu in my humble opinion ..kindly !

If you assess the dire conditions under which we we have lived for so long and sustained our way of life, you can grasp the hostility and cynicism with which we view any efforts that leads to peace and progress. We have known only abject misery and poverty and the accumulation of resources by the few among us who then use power to sustain their brief moments of joy. That is why we lag behind terribly bad and that is why we view modernity, equality and justice within our Muslim society with such enormous degree of suspicion, insecurity, and fear.

The cumulative effect os such combined factors have probably caused deformed genes passed from generations. And we developed this inward, desperate habit of expecting others to fix our own cultural defects and material problems.
