The money is good, but not that good! I'm starting to think they pay crazy amount in North America. Here in the UK, a doctor is paid £35,000 as starting point and with experience they get more. A good surgeon can get up to £80,000 and GP can get about that amount too. Now, £80,000 is good money, but anything less is not all that,
and given the amount of rubbish that comes with jobs in the health sector, its money well paid.
The best money is to be found in the business sector.

exactly

My goal in life is to advance the welling being and interests of the people of my ethnic homeland through socioeconomic assistance. When I pass away, I want to have helped formed a strong cadre of individuals who will advance the agenda of beesha for the next 100 years. I don't care about money beyond it being a means to advance the agenda.

qolka waxa ka buuxa afrikaan wada qooqan
my proffesion is simply to gain knowledge and understanding of complete new things, then using my research to develop useful items, ideas etc
money is not important in the sense that it is only a trading medium, but wealth, such as land, kids, respect, love, loyalty etc etc will get you somewhere
although my career will eventually get me wealth, i did not choose it to achieve the wealth only but also the interesting, challenging, exciting process of achieving it.

its all about the bank first and foremost...the rest like "oh its such a rewarding career" are perks that may come with the job. for those who have that all encompassing "consciously rewarding career" that also pays well..kudos to ya...for the rest, work that field and make that chedda.

I worked for a hi-tech company which shaped my career path. Promotions came with training opportunities and ultimately a college degree in a technical field. I work for a University reseach Lab now.

a lot of doctors at that level are at half a million per year...easily
but thats because our health care industry is run by insurance companies, there is no public plan (other than medicare which is for 65 and older...and even that has high costs)

Fah, you love showing off the USA, but now that I'm hearing half a million

I must admit I've always had a deep like for the USA
I'm against private healthcare.

That`s weird because I know a guy that just finished Medical School in the UK, and he`s just a intern and he`s making 50,000£. Doctors make a whole lot of money, and at the end of the it all comes down too money, when your trying to feed your family
Maybe he specialised in a specific field, like his a cardiac doctor? I don't know if it has changed, last time I heard they started around the amount I stated before on the NHS.

that is the most retarded post i have ever read, engineering is not for the faint hearted.you gotta have a solid background in algebra, different areas of calculus like differentiation, integration , differential equations and last but not least vectors which are pain in the azz.
furthermore, you must have some basics in physics.i know those stuff man.believe me.
so,you telling me you chose engineering cuz of money factor?
if you have a passion for technical education,go for it and not for money.

does that 80k pay for your Private, Commercial and eventually Airline Transport License? Cuz with private schools, you are looking at pretty much that range of costs to obtain atleast your private and commercial.
I am working towards my Commercial at the moment aswell as getting my Multi-IFR (instrument flight rules)/Night ratings.
P.S. - You'll understand this jargon once you start
P.P.S. - The Cessna's are a piece of shit to fly

I havent officially started flying yet but I have been on a Cessna's and looking forward in flying it inshallah.
THe 80k pays for everything. From Piravte, Multi engine, instrument iyo Commercial.
Will have my Piravte by spring inshallah and will stay at the school during the summer to get my Muti engine done.
My school is contracted with Midway Aivation.

Somaliboqor, If my memory is right, just a couple months you said you were studying political science because you want to be Somali president, what made you change so fast, from president to a pilot? and do you think it will be easy for you, a muslim person named mohamed or ahmed learning how to fly airplanes?
