he did in 1989. USCga diiday and look now what happend. he made IIdor priminister and said electionska diyaari

then the government fell

Somalia dont need elections, they need a strongman. maybe after 100 years later we can have elections thats not based on qabiil
Thats exactly my point he was hard headed so when he already did the damage in hargeysa in 1988 only then did he realise his time was over so he thought let me have elections.
Sxb I accept that somalia was fine up until 1977, before then everything was fairly balanced but you have to understand that after we lost the war in 77 everybody was feeling dissapointed and by that time siad was in power for 18 years and obviously we thought that he was responsible for us losing in the war - he made somalia into a communist state and was betrayed by our allies. Of course the khat ban did make a difference but we felt that we made a mistake in joining the union and we saw the real corrupt government and what they were capable of after the snm was formed, lets just say the rest was history.

Omar inaad cunug tahaty baan ku sheegaya. The bombing in Hargeisa waxay ahayd SNM hotspots. Amarka waxa biyey Ali Samatar he was vice president. xaqna wuu ulaha. I was there markay BBC wareysanaysa.

SNM hid behind civilians instead of fighting in the open. Every government in the world has the xaq to fight against rebels.

Tamil tigers were defeated even though many civilians died.waa colateral damage.

Dagaalka 1977 had nothing to do with what happend after. Khat baa la mamnuucay then IIdor started uprising. waa xaqiiq

do U know that SNM didnt have much support in 1982? walahi there so many Isaqs who were with government. SNM waxay la yimaadeen inay dalka goyaan and Isaq badan ka so horjeestay

only markay propaganda bilaabeen oo sida dumarka guryaha hid in guryaha rayidka bey sheegeyn in dawlada Isaq rabu inu cirib tirayo.

markii dawlada dhacday everybody went to his degaan and joined SNM. Dawlada Isaq badan oo magac leh ayaa ka dhex muuqday.

Me personally both my parents both talk happily about somalia when siad barre was in power they said everybody was working and in general everybody was pleased with the government, but my only problem was that if he had held elections and seperate candidates then people would definitely voted for him but by not doing that earlier in his time in office it looked like he was power hungry like all african leaders now and then.

If snm had indeed hid behind people then why would the government bomb places with civilian areas, also why would they gather innocent civilians and line them up and shoot them or kill people isaaq in mogadishu which is miles away, the snm had their faults but its the fact that your condoning the actions of a dictatorship.

Omar Lasbul sheekada FAHAN. Somalia's not ready for elections.

Bal firi, taladu ayuu la wareegay when 1969 elections qabiil iyo coruption noqday. how can U host another election if dadka wali qabiil maskaxda ku jiran.

Dadka waa in dhaqankooda iyo hab fikirkooda laga badalo. Thats why u mamnuucay qabiil. Walahi dhalinyarada ku dhashay kuna so barbaaray in the 70's 80's didnt know their own clan until after 1991.

Aniga waxaan bartay qabiilkeeyga in 1991. before that every Somali was my clan.

Hada Somaliland waxay isku haystan sow elections ma aha? Silanyo ayaa rabuu inu maamula oo wuxuu yiri, madaame Isaqa kale mar gobolka ka so tlaiyeen waxa haboon in qabiilkeyga (habarjeclo) kursiga la wareegaan.

Ma waxaas election ah?

Somalia dont need elections what they need's peace iyo kaladambeyn

markey ka weynaadaan qabiil then election will start and Siad Bare didnt think it was right for Somalia to have election when qabiil was still in their mind

yes the goverment had the right to defend its territory and sovereignty from traitorous rebels. but it has ABSOLUTELY no right to indiscriminately bomb its civil population and its cities. such goverment has no legitimacy or moral authority to rule.

Omar Lasbul SNM been badan ayee sheegtay. 1 time waxay so qodeen Oromo graves and said dawladii kacaanka ayaa dhisay waana Isaq. Waa la baray waxaana la ogaaday that it was fake.

Whole of their shiid's propaganda and nothing but propaganda. the only 1 thing oo la dhigi inay qalad dhacay was Jazira and that had nothing to do with qabiil

Xaqiiqda wuu ifbaxaya marki la baaro.

qabuuraha ey SNM qariyeen oo ku aasan geeljire badan ey laayeen baa la qodaya once strong dawlad dhalato.

Somalia has succesful elections before siad barre so its not about what siad thought was good for the people but more about if the people would re-elect him. Do you know the reason he did elections in 89 and why he chose an idoor as prime minister, its because he thought they would be happy with one of their own but how can they be when he bombed their houses with their own army.

What cities naanbaabyaho. Hargeisa was bombed but the area bombed was where SNM was hiding.

Qasaraha ugu weyna was markey madaafic isku garaceen SNM iyo Dawlada. SNM's responsible for what happend in Hargeisa.

they were defeated in 1990 weexee saldhig ka dhigteen meel la yraahdi Baludhigle or something. Dawlad sarkaal went to Hargeisa sey kormeer ku maraan magaalada iyo wixi dhacay. There's video about it. laakin markey USC Hamar so galeen ayee dib u qabsadeen Hargeisa.

^^ Somalia never had succesful elections before Siad Bare. Somalia never voted. Only kuwa barlaamanka voted for a new president.

Akhri this

"At the time of independence in 1960, Somalia was touted in the West as the model of a rural democracy in Africa. Tribalism and extended family loyalties and conflicts were the core of the government, and by the late 1960’s, more than sixty parties campaigned for election to a Parliament of one-hundred-twenty-three seats. Democracy had degenerated in to anarchy. Somali corruption astounded even Afrophiles. The last Prime Minister was playing roulette in Las Vegas at the time of the national uprising led by General Mohamed Siad Barre in October, 1969."

teeda kale Omar Arte was vicepresident of in 1978 or something and he was IIdor habar jeclo. He made IIdor primeminister si somalia la badbaadiyo rebelgroupka la jabiyo.

list of somali vice presidents waxa ka mid aha
Kulmiye Afrah (Abgal)
Cali Samatar (Midgan)
Ali Abokar (Habrjeclo)
