Forget about clans and look at towns. Northern Mudug is 100% Darood. Southern Mudug You have Wagardhac that live with Sacad. Western Galgudud is Marexaan, and eastern Northern Galgudud is shared between Hawiye and Dir. If Mudug was just one gobol like the old days, it would put Hawiye in a bad position.

Why do u think that Barre's regime divided Mudug and Banadir? It was to dividide the natural dominance and unity of HG and Mudulood respectively, while at the same time creating provinces like Gedo, Sool, Sanaag, Nugaal etc.

What Somaliweyn is saying is Mudug as it was before Afweyne divided it into two regions (Mudug and Galgaduud) would be dominated by HG. Of course that is true and everyone would know that. It would mean that all of HG in one province. Forgot about HG, Cayr or even Sacad alone number way more than your tiny Ilkoyar clan and since all of Jareerten don't settle in Mudug, who else can challenge Iljeex as majority?

Ilkoyar in Galgaduud don't number more than Saruur and the entire Ilkoyar clan are maybe the same size as Saleeban.

Ilkoyar MUST be the most overrated clan because of the history of Afweyne.
