What Somali accent/dialect do you speak with?

I'd like to think typical Muqdisho, but I'm told reer xamar

I still don't get how your oldest sibling speaks with straight up reer Mudug accent, the sibling under you speaks with typical young Somali accent across most qabiils, but you speak reer Xamar.

There is this Tunni guy in Columbus who speaks with a really thick reer Mudug accent. You would never guess the guy is Tunni and he knows Mareexaan subclans better than most Marexaans. Reer Dalal ayaan ayuu kugu waabsan. He just picked up the accent in Columbus.

Actually that is Hawiye accent. They replace H with N. First time I heard it from a buddy, waan yaabe I thought the just didn't know Somali, when they knew it better than Me "Hadaan gayha" "lacagta waan warsaha" "haa waan u malayha"etc.



As for Me, My Somali isn't good enough to really "Have an accent"

Ninyahow wax lama socotid , keyse meant the reer mudug accent. 'waan u maleehaa' and 'waan doonihayaa' are not the same

My father speaks the thick Reer Mudug accent (with words like: Maandhoow, ba'aa, Ballo, Bal heedhe, Qoodha iyo Xerada, etc etc) straight up N my mother used to speak straight up Reer Xamar accent (the standard Mugadisho accent Not the cadcad's accent)...until my father influenced her...but she has a hint of Reer Xamar accent. As for me...I guess you can say the Reer mudug accent but not as strong as my father's

a mixture of reer xamar, reer mudug and reer waamo. I know the dialects are drastically different from one another but you should see me speak af-Somali.
