From Harardheere in north to Afmadow in the deep south is around 300,000 square kilometer vast land..your only fear would be wild animals and old kenyan jets,.

Bro, are you retarded?
My trip is to be from Xamar to Kismayo - Xarardheere and Afmadow are outside of both zones in both directions. That is entirely f-king irrelevant.
If Somalia was empty of humans, excellent----but there are these new innovations called roads, and these new innovations used on roads called isbaaro. Have you heard of those?

Harardheere and Afmadow marks to the two AS borderlines ,. Xamar to Kismayo comes in between those two points. fahamtu?well I have heard mog-kismaayo route has been very safe since AS got grip in the region,,,..isbaaro and robbery is non existent.no one wants to loose limps.

Monk,
The only thing you need to watch out for is malaria, dengue fever. This shid will strike you down in hours.
Garuun,
The People's President is back in Somalia and will be going on a cross country tour railing against foreign influences.

Paidmonk,
My Bro who went to B Xaawo simply took a 10 min cabride from mandeera into there, and from there You're in Somalia. That being said, the whole koonfur is lawless why not just take a commercial flight from nairobi into Kismaayo? If You're thinking You can somehow convince American customs that You didn't go to Somalia You're crazy

Are u serious? I coulda swore there used to be. In that cae He's screwed. His best chance of visiting Kismaayo is to volunteer as a unpaid translator for the KDF, assuming they ever get there. Which also gets me thinking monk can be a new character for chronicles of azania.

My only connection in Xamar area was a cousin of mine from Kista who had an HG mom in Ceelasha recently, I'm not sure if he's still there but he used to travel a lot between Xamar and Kista for his work. That dude was everywhere, perhaps I can put him to good use, now that you've mentioned the idea of a local contact.
The only AS or former AS areas that worried me were (still are) the most worrisome areas of the Somali geography; the Jubba river regions. I have no clue how my primitive Ogaden cousins survived in those far south regions, I used to hear stories about cagdheer villagers being eaten by Bantus all the time.

--that place is a straight-up no-man's land. The Bantus there are so influential that all of my reer abti now revere a Bantu Sufi "saint."
You can understand why I have my reservations about entering from Kenya into Kismayo, that whole area just isn't right. I may have to tap my connections in Xamar, I may have many more contacts there than I'm aware of.

, there are hardly any bantus, they have been chased out by racism during the civil war or been taken by the americans to the State, but there are a few Banjuuns in kamboni and kayomi, they are muslims, and prefer to eat fish then a short skinny malnourished Suulgab cousin of mine from the deserts of punt
wait till Absame clears out alshabab or you could get through from Garrisa to Dhobley to the Jubbas, i would wait till Kismayo is free, infact i would advice to stay away from the south and explore NFD instead. if you want safety Garrisa is the saftest city in the easter africa region, if you want risky adventure go to kismayo and have your head cut off as a darood spy crap story made up by nervous hutus.

@ this thread, I haven't laughed this hard in ages.
Monk the way you are describing xamar is like baghdad circa 2005
btw, to those suggesting he just fly in from kenya to kismayo are you crazy so he can be detained and transferred to gitmo, coming in from kenya is a big no no your better off just going through lower shabelled and middle jubba. Also I think one of the most dangerous routes is as abdiwahab pointed out between galkacyo and muqdisho is a dangerzone
