Personaly i doubt i will eat hilib waraabo unless i have no choice but then l'm the same with caloosha xoolaha iyo madaxa and a host of other xalal foods. It's about prefereces and tastes.but yalaxow iyo e_sistr waxay kala joogan sweden iyo uk. Hilib waraabo halkee ku arkayaan? In another thread some1 wrote no waraabe eaters will be allwed in somaliland as if immigration will give pl form asking wether they eat hilib waraabe b4 embarking on a trip to somaliland lol

i think most people wouldnt eat it. it's just what is shar3 and what is not. we cannot just say haram and halal cause out own likes or dislikes. meat o idil ma 3ono but that's my personal choice.

Arabs eat Lizards and its one of their favourable delicacies. I will never eat a Hyena even if it is Xalaal.
By the way Somalis do not eat Gazelle or other game animals like buffaloes how do you expect them to receive breaking news of this kind.

I agree with the sufis and many salafis who say that eating hyena is haram.

By Allah i will never agree with Umal nor with any other scholar after knowledge came to me that hyena meat is haram, just like Lion meat is haram.

Even if Hyena meat is Xalaal still its not sunna as the prophet saw was not reported to have eaten it.

since there are two different rulings on this by the scholars its better and safer to leave it altogether and not eat it.
