So, Mudane Alpha, like i said earlier, drop the stoical-cynic routine. It's ok to be human, sxb. It's not "showing off", except maybe in some parallel manga universe.
You can insult all you like, but I only question the value of 'ibaadah if the intent to publicly state it is already there.

This is what it is, though you can call it what you want. Whatever gets you through the day. No worries though, you ain't alone in that.

^^ kaftanka iyo "insult" are not the same thing, but I forget that you're, culturally speaking, a straightlaced Canadian. Macaleesh. The "intent to publicly state it" is actually a good thing: it encourages other people who have the same problem to do something about it. Ta kale, salah(5 obligatory prayers) is not a mere "ibadah", it's what makes us Muslim. Start leaving salah and you'll soon find yourself on the off-ramp to Exit Disbelief. I'm pretty sure that's what happened to blackstar and other snetters who left Islam.

Not praying has become a epidemic among Muslim youth, was playing a soccer over the summer and only a handful stopped playing for maghrib. Let's air out our laundry and find practical solutions....like this 40 day journey of mine.

Day 3, Isniin, 12-10-12

Crappy day  Started off with missing Fajr, and due to a hectic schedule(weak excuse), ending up combined duhur, asar, maghrib with Isha just a few minutes ago. Bright side: At least I made them up, as opposed to "giving up" on it. Mind over matter indeed (hat-tip: Lilaahiya)

Question:
Is it allowed in Islam to say one prayers with Nail-color on ?.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

It is permissible for a woman to colour her nails for the purpose of adornment, with materials that do not cause harm, and there is nothing wrong with her praying with that, unless it is a substance that prevents water from reaching what is beneath it, in which case wudoo’ and ghusl are not valid unless it is removed. If the wudoo’ is not valid then the prayer is not valid.

It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah, 5/218:

“If the colour is impermeable, then wudoo’ is not valid unless it is removed before doing wudoo’. If it is not impermeable, then wudoo’ is valid, as is the case with henna.”

And Allaah knows best.

My advice to anyone who starts praying is to start slowly.. Add one prayer at a time to your daily schedule. Once you are in the habit of doing one prayer add another. That's how I started and it worked. If you able to go from 0-5 easy then ignore my post.

Ukhti Smile, I have not specialised in that aspect of the diin therefore I decided to bring forth my collegues ruling :steviej:

On Topic: What time do you guys pray Ishaa? I used to delay it till almost midnight, this became a lazy routine. I tried praying later (just before going to bed) however I would be half asleep. I therefore believe that praying it on time or well before midnight is the best way to avoid 'The Path of The Lazy'.

It's around 18.00 here but like I said, for some reason I feel the pressure to pray the other 4 salahs on time however for Ishaa I relax and tend to leave it to 'The Hour of The Lazy' :wow:

Day 4, Talaado, 12-11-12

Fajr: Missed it again :x Can't even blame oversleeping on this one. Was (almost) fully awake. Kept telling myself "I'll get up in 5 min". Next thing I know, qoraxada is up
