Having a beard and trying different styles is one of the joys of life. The only thing that stops me from having a new beard style every month is the religion question.

It took 6 years for my beard to connect, it is more like an all round stubble. Sadly, it doesn't grow any more than that. I would not shave it off even if my father told me to.

imam shafi' and others say shaving all is " makrooh and not haram"

maliki and imam ahmed say " wahi ka badan wah ga'anta kaku qabto, wa la jari kara. also ibn taimiya says same.

alqortubi and others , all new salafis, such, ibn baz, ibn othmaneyn ..etc believe is haram in la tabtaba.

i have no opinion after scholars. but what i would do" if i could grow beard" i would leave it but i dont think is most important thing i do of Sunnah. there is more important sunan that i failed to stick with.
