There are a lot of folks who dislike Arabs and will bend over for the dumb adoons but as much as I don't like the Arabs of today there is no denying we have more in common with them.

you do know there are more black muslims than arab right? the arabs are a very small population (especially if we take out all the arabized people (i.e. Berbers). nigeria has more muslims than saudi arabia and the rest of the gulf states.

you seem to have misunderstood me. i said no somali i know claims to be an arab RIGHT NOW, not that I haven't heard the origin myths. hell even when my father was telling about the darood origin stories, i asked him does this mean we're arab. he almost slapped me in the face and said hell no. he said whether or not the story was true, its meaningless. the somali people are what they are and the arab are what they are. two different people. and even if it were true, one arab crossing the red sea and inpregnating a somali woman wouldn't change our entire race.
