I was there last week, never mind how the conversation started but I spent a good 15 mins trying to reassure a hotel receptionist that she was actually pretty...regardless of her brown skin tone which according to her made her "ugly"

I was going to add a second comment on this very interesting topic, but I must say, I was distracted by this above quote? I don't know what to say, but ---NO comment!

I went to an aunts home, and the female servant was so happy to see me after so many years, she literally jumped and hugged me. ( am always kind to her, bring her gifts and give her money, I bring American daqaan at home nooh) I invited her to sit next to me on the sofa, and my aunt looked at me like I was on drugs or retarded. My aunts eyes changed the mood of the servant, and quickly she excused herself and went to the kitchen. My aunt smiled at me, and when I came back to the US, my mom tells me I embarrassed her with the hug. Worst inviting a servant to a family sofa. It happens that they have their own plates of food, own glass, a restroom outside the home. My God, finding that out literally made me want to contact Al shapton, but I thought I will bring shame to my family, so I never called that aunt again. Not to mention, Al shapton wont have a case. We are fcuking madoow ourselves !

The Chinese have a different concept of what racism is. They aren't shy or discreet about saying something or doing something others might find offensive.

Also, if Kenyans were smart....that restaurant would "strangely" have caught fire in the middle of the night.

You guys need to distinguish between Mainland Chinese" and Chinese from Hong Kong, Macau and even Taiwan. Even Mainland Chinese are not the same. Those from the North differ from the one from the South, such as Somalis do. Malaysian Chinese, Indo-Chinese, Thai-Chinese, Singaporean-Chinese, Filipino-Chinese and even Caribbean-Chinese are all from the South of China and there were brought by the British to those countries as slaves.

I swear there was a restaurant in Mogadisho which was No Somalians Zone. If anyone of you his dad was in Mogadisho back in 50's or 60's he/she can ask him. Same rules applied to the beaches.

Even in Nigeria there were luxury hotel restaurants and lounges owned by Lebanese which were strictly forbidden for Blacks to enter back in 70's. Whenever my uncles go there they used to get free meals because the owner had much respect for my kin.

I don't know if you guys been to East Africa or have relatives who reside there. I don't mean the filthy Eastleigh, but Runda or Riverside Drive suburb. My relatives maids have their own plates and cups and if they break it the new plate or cup price will be deducted from their salary. Anyway I believe everyone has the right to sell his/her goods to whoever he/she wants. Trust me despite the report no action will be taken against the restaurant owner so why should you care? Afterall, this is not Somalia where the poor and rich eat from the same restautant and dress the same.
