My parents are both educated. Don't let the post 91 war Somali parents fool you.
Am talking about highly educated parents with masters and phd and flurishing career that even cadaan man admires, not somali standard educated as a translator or a teacher assistant even though that is an achievement. No offence though.
Looooooooool@ cadaan people admire. Since when does it matter what cadaan people admire?

Fyi cadaans are easily impressed they admire the local massai arrow shaving skills let alone a teacher!

And I wasn't talking about being a teacher or tanslator.
The massai are an interesting bunch must say!

Notice how you're labeling this young Somali woman as a "hypocrite" yet you wouldn't do the same if she was a young African-American woman.

You are a hater of Somalis. It's plain and simple. Now exit this thread.

Can you expound on that statement about obama? Do you realize how much grief this man gets at home for leading with an olive branch to the muslim world when he was first elected? Even today there is a segment of the population that swear that he is at best a muslim sympathizer and even some who swear he is muslim. The man goes out of his way to refrain from calling terrorist muslim fanatics and for this he also takes a lot of heat. From where i stand this guys bends over backwards to make sure that muslims are not all painted with the same brush. So can you explain why you think he is an enemy of muslims.

Yeah sure, targeted drone killings (where the true civilian casualty numbers is purposefully obscured), continued renditions, Guantanamo still open...Obama is nice orator, though.

In terms of larger (all Americans) failings, he said he would protect whistle-blowers but his administration has seen more whistle-blowers prosecuted than any other administration. He ramped up NSA spying and actively seeks Snowden's apprehension. Obamacare doesn't address the robber baron healthcare industry in this country. He refuses to pardon tens of thousands of prisoners imprisoned under laws that have since been repealed or, even worse, illegalized.

Again he is taking all kinds of flak for releasing about half the prisoners from guantanamo and he is an enemy of muslims? I predict he will close guantanamo by the time he leaves office. The Drone thing you could make a good argument there.

The rest of the stuff you mentioned are not about muslims so i don't think you make a good case for him being the "greatest enemies of muslims".

But you have some valid points that can be argued both pro and con.

My mother has a bachelor in business administration from the US and my father has a Masters in Civil Engineering from Russia. My mother's sister and her husband have PhDs, many of their friends are formally educated. I'm related to a couple professors and doctors. Idman is right. Quit assuming everyone is uneducated.

Yes because that is the typical cadaan upbringing right? every cadaan kids parents has phd and masters :-@
With your logic since both your parents are educated what is your excuse for not attending Harvard like young Somali sister ?

You just lost all credibility in your argument by saying ridiculous things like that. Barack Hussein Obama the son kenyan muslim and step son of Indonesian muslim. That hosts iftar dinner and praises muslim achievements in a country where the politically expedient thing do is to vilify muslims. Next...

They want to have it both ways sxb... They want to condemn Somalis, Sudanese, muslims for not assimilating and criticizes the ones that do. What difference does it make if she is sudanese. You should praise her for exercising her freedom of speech and her right to protest. Basically what you are saying she should keep her mouth shut and not speak out against a racist, bigoted and war-mongering Benjamin Netanyahu. In America and the west you fight fire with fire being submissive doesn't achieve anything.

Prince I hate when birds chirp without fully knowing where I was coming from. I was replying to somaliman who assumed every Somali parent is uneducated. What does my parents being educated have to do with me not attending Harvard. Stop being a simpleton.

Calm down don't get sensitive on me now. I was replying at what @Somaliman wrote he is implying the reason she successful was because she has educated parents and not the fact she applied herself or worked hard. So my questions was for him ...why is he not at Harvard? Are is parents not educated does he blame them for not attending Harvard.

I never claimed my parents were educated in fact they're not. They are educated in diin alhamdulila. So why drug me in this. Cajiib and I am proud of munira and never took anything away from her success. Am just telling people who say why can't other somali kids be like her that she is luckier than the average somali kid. Her parents got money and have the recipe for allowing her to thrive. Actaully munira is related to me on my mother's side, her dad is my mum second cousin so I know what am talking about and how her parents aren't just typical.
