You work for the German Govt but have access to the yearly budget of the the Somali govt. How does that work lol? Btw aid does not only = cash given directly. It can also be in kind which is what Turkey does for example. You probably wouldn't see that on the govt budget.
In any case that's neither here nor there...you have to have an objective foreign policy based on national interest. I don't give a fuck about Israel or being buddies with them. But you cannot base international relationships on ''Arabs are our friends''. For example, boycotting or sanctioning a country requires collective action. The EU sanctions Russia collectively...The West sanctions Iran collectively. A sanction of Israel would require collective actions from the Arab League but as I have shown you this is not the case as every single Arab country dealing with them and some are close to establishing formal diplomatic ties with them. They are all furthering their own foreign policy objectives. What sense would it make for a poor African country to unilaterally boycott Israel and further isolate itself?
SahanGalbeed touched on what I am trying to say.

Most Arab countries have ties with Israel for their own interests, hence them witnessing the suffering of their fellow Arabs and Palestinians ( the Palestinians)
I'm trying to look at this from a counter terrorism point of view, I recall Israeli troops being flown in in emergency when Westgate in Nairobi was attacked. Could it be that, that was the agenda of this so called correspondence/meeting with Netanyahu? Is Hassan sheikh so desperate? Obviously Israel wouldn't provide expertise without getting something in return...
