Why don't you gallant Oromos (Arsi and Afar Qallu) just disown these fifth column Oromo groups. Heck, let us join Arsi/Hararghe/Bale on one side and Sitti and Djibouti on the other as an economic force to be reckoned with in Africa. Use our ports for imports/exports and arm yourselves against Habashi and suspect Oromos. Start a movement to separate yourselves from rest of these worthless wanna-be Amhara Oromos.

Most hararge Oromos have the same way of thought and mentality, regardless of their clan. We are the pioneers to the Oromo liberation Army, and have always resisted the Ethiopian Rule, and had hard feelings to warra olii (west central Oromos).

Waachis is a nice guy but he’s joined the bandwagon of all the Oromos who believe OPDO can make a change. OPDO of all groups. That’s like giving power to the Nazi, and they promise to revise and reform the government from past mistakes. How do you trust such group of people that have so much blood on their hands?

I’m not too familiar with the group, but if you want a group who is to achieve a better place for Oromos within the so called nation of Ethiopia, OFC might be a better choice.

I’m not for a united Ethiopia, and have never been. I grew up telling and explaining who Oromos are and where we are from. I’m not talking out of emotions, Waachis. This is just who I am, and there are many like me.

I don’t trust Amharas, I’d don’t trust Shawan Oromos or Wallaga Oromos. They have in the past betrayed us, and have favored Amharas. So I’d rather split with our own Oromia with an Eastern Oromo rulling.

I totally agree with you, i myself have also been explaining and telling people who the ogadens are and where they are from, i've been trying to convince our brother wachis about the ''oromara'' bullshit he been chanting about and tried to remind him of the past cruel days of amhara rule of ethiopia, but i didnt know waachis was supporting opdo because of his clan ruling it, that explains it all

But one thing we for sure agree on is that the tigrays should be thanked for the making of article 39, something the amhara would never in their life do even if it comes to their mothers lifes being on danger.

as far as the links u posted, i still didn't see where it proved that lemma planned and approved of what happened, he's not even doing anything now as liyyu forces burn oromo homes and kill oromos in the east. it's almost like some opdo officials have a clan like mentality like somalis and only care for their maccaa clans, which is very wrong, and harmful.

but i do believe some rogue oromo elements did that, for revenge, the same way somalis killed oromos out of revenge. emotions run high and people have weapons and act upon their anger. both sides, the oromo and somali criminals, deserve the same punishment.
but abdi should have never started a problem with people who never had a problem with you guys. you should also blame abdi for willingly starting this conflict, because prior to that, this wasn't an issue. oromos didn't just wake up and say hey lets kill somalis! they were out for revenge, which is once again, wrong!!
if u noticed, these massacres of somalis started years after the liyyu started killing oromos, raping oromos, and invading oromia.
and no one was doing anything to stop those attacks, so some angry oromos became criminals, which is wrong, and killed some somalis.
i do not agree with it, but i see their frustration and feeling of no-one cares or is going to hold those liyyu somalis responsible.

The parents of the OLF was the macca tulama self help association, do not forget this. they were the ones who helped form modern Oromo nationalism and were the first ones to propose that oromos be self reliant and build their own economy since the habashas won't and can't do it for us.... do not forget the western oromia confederation of 1936, who tried to organize oromos and get independence from the british/UN and it was denied. do not pretend as if all maccaa/tulamaa sided with the habasha, yes some did, but others did not. and this is from wallaga, a place that did not even suffer as much as the east, but never truly accepted amhara rule, in their souls/hearts. but they lacked guns and knew it was futile to fight. the same for jimma, my grand-fathers land. jimma had 50 guns, menelik had 100,000: what would we have gained from fighting? get massacred? get churches forcefully built in Jimma, a Muslim land? and worse? they had no choice but to submit bro.

OFC can only work if it has an army. same for OLF, ODF, whoever else, who claims to represent Oromos. if u don't have guns, you won't be free in the ethiopian empire. we all know this and agree on this, I am sure of it.

I think it's emotional to think independence is better than us taking control of ethiopia and using it build oromia and at the same time, we make our own army in oromia that can be ready for anything. secession can only happen, successfully, in places, where the borders are fully demarcated and agreed upon. if this were the case, i'd agree with you, and push for secession. but ethiopia is not like yugoslavia. the borders are not demarcated. there are many, many, border disputes. oromia and somalia, oromia and amhara, afar and tigray, amhara and tigray, amhara and afar, the list goes on. these would turn into full out, never ending, war, in the event of secession. it would make our current situation look like nothing.
it's not about trusting amharas. they cannot take advantage of us, if we are united and armed. that should be our main goal before anything: arming our people, and uniting them, regardless of clan. do not generalize because many oromo heroes came from shoa and wallaga too. remember taddese birru? he told the govt to their faces that menelik is the reason our people are poor!
also keep in mind that, they were closer to the habasha, as far as territory goes, and did not have the means to resist their guns.
not to mention that, no other clans of oromos came to their rescue. why didnt your clan send troops there to help them, then?
because like them, your clans were not in a position to help themselves, much less help other oromo clans.

I support opdo when it does good, like arrest tplf commanders who were doing illegal contraband trade, which is something abdi wouldn't dream of doing, and I criticize opdo when they don't do the right thing. That's called common sense and being objective.
