I don't know why but Ethiopians think I'm one of them! At my old job, they would come in with some paperwork gawking at me. Then, they'd say "Are you Abashi?"
I've been called an Ethie before. This guy I had afternoon class with thought I was mixed with Afro-American and Indian, uncanny observation.
Then, there are the West Africans, they'll always assume that I'm an Ethiopian but never a Somali. What do they know? Waa dhagax, they say "Yu aa Ethiopian?" with their red eyes, and their........ No further sinning, Ayagu cayn maayo ee wada African ayaa isla nahay.

I have disticntly somali looks, well maybe the hair is a bit straighter than usual, and nobody confuses me with anyone else except for Africans and Indians.
