I haven't wore Macawis akhas that is utterly disgusting I just saw these two Somali Men wearing macawis and dacas in snowy day holding hands 2gether. I'd call that khaniisiin, even though I know they dont' mean it
As for Dirac Dirac makes Somali girls sexy no matter how ugly she is. I also like See-Thru ones. When I go to wedding, i star at girls chest to see if she has See-thru dirac
Looooool. ^^ Was you meant to meant to type that?.. That sounds so wrong!
Cawar--I love my brothers that wear the Qamis on a daily bases. It is ...MashaAllah!! How fresh and that is why I miss the Muslim countries. & Yes I am pretty obsessed with my halwar kameez's too. As for shorts Ceeb Caleeyk dude!
I've stopped wearing a macawis outside the home , the day I found out on TV that they were wearing the same thing in Bangladesh. Good for qayilaad and hurdo .
I still have a macawiis with a red-white-pin-stripe-blue pattern hand woven in Barawe. It is very comfortable and I still wear it occassionally at home of a warm summer evening.
I have yet to be invited to a function where it would be appropriate to wear one in public, but I have seen my Yemeni neighbors wear them to cultural functions at the mosque.
A/W--Everytime someone goes to Somalia I am granted a Drica/Sheed or/and some mulub back..
Ina Baxar--InaAdeer, maxaad ka wadaa? The Dirac isn't traditionally Somali either. They wear it in Sudan and Indian to name a few. As for the Macawiis my brother got one from his from when he went to Bangladesh and thiers is different, much lighter and they tie it different.
