I have to agree with #1baller here. We Somalis do need to be respectful towards other ethnicities and not be so arrogant. What reason is there to be arrogant for when our country is in such turmoil. Humbleness will take you very far in life.

Found out a few months ago when I was googling some stuff about somalia. I figured it was a poor nation but I didn't realize it s as bad as it is.

I would rather be from a temporary poor country than have my ancestors as slaves for generations, I wouldnt talk shid man, since your ass is from Jamaica and India and came to America for better life unless you ain't proud that both of your parents are from those areas like you said a million times. I doubt you bag on Haitians because only in Somalinet do we tolerate outsiders coming in for the sole purpose of talking shid and nothing else.

Is that directed at me? Im not from any where near Jamaica and as far as I know neither are any of my ancestors.
Plus more than 90% of the worlds population is descendent from slaves/oppressed people. Why do people only like to use this as an insult toward AAs?

Thank you. At least someone finally got it. Its exactly the reason why there are humanitarians in the world we live in. If you are humble, then people will do their darnest to help you out of any situation.

But if you act like a focking moron and pretend to be wrong and strong, you will be left alone to face the battle which 9 out of 10 times ends up in failure.

I'm actually quite happy and lead a very successful lifestyle. And I didn't insult or disrespect anyone in this thread. I merely echoed the comments made by another somali poster.

There is a double standard on this forum. If a somali makes a derogatory comment about his/her fellow somalis, its seems acceptable but when a foreigner echoes the same thing... somalis get emotional and have a fit. Why is that?
