Re: Arab boy laughs to hear My Arab descent!!
Its easy to always ask, somalis are lazy intellectuals, they will ask and be answered and then they would still negate without research and ask all over again.
If there were only 10 somalis like James Dahal,we could have long figured out this redundant questions about somali origin, we somalis by nature are terrible resarchers. We aske 2000 quesions without digusting a single answer.
Now salafi i have answered your questions regarding somali origin, and to begin with i adviced you not to confuse all somali clans, this term Somali never existed before the 1500 , no somali clan considered himself Somali, all clans considered themselves their own seprate nations, just like native Americans.
As i have stated before I can trace the migrations of most somali clans in the order of Samaale (Dir ,Hawiye, Dagoodi, Xawaadle, and Garre) , Daarood (Cabdiraxmaan Ismaaciil Ibraahin al-Jabarti) , Isaaq (Sheekh Isxaaq Ibn Axmed Ibn Sayyid Maxammed) followed by the father of all Sheekhaal Aw Qudub al-Diin Ibn Cumar. The last families who came to somalia are the Ba-alawi house in Baraawe and Muqdisho who came during the 13-16 century.
I have told you with evidence the existant of for instance the supposed father of the man called Daarood in 10th century religious life of Zaylac, namely Ismaaciil Ibraahim Cabdisamad Al-Zaylaci al-Cuqayli. Its in the "Al-Cuqayliyaat" book written by a Cuqayli genealogies regarding the decandant of Cuqayl Abu Talib.
Now you can't then argue as above and aske me who are Cuqayls or how do we know that Ismaaciil Al-zaylaci of 10th century zaylac was a Cuqayli Hashimi!!, which is nuts since he is proven historically to be part of the decendan of Abu Talib.
Now one can ask and rightly so if indeed Ismaaciil had a son named Cabdiraxmaan and nicknamed Daarood, and if so when did Daarood live and who was his wife/wifes and decendant, and finally are all modern Daarood sub-clans decended from Ismaaciil Al-Zaylaci.?
Same thing goes to Isaaq, but Isaaq Ibn Ahmed has a better record then Daarood or any other somali clans forefather, his arrival in Zaylac during the end of 11 century , his lineage, his wives and sons are all recorded from 11 century till the 1940:
1- Mohammed Hassan Al-Basri in his book , Al-casjad Al-Manduum Li-Taariikh Wal-Culuum, a 50 page manuscript written in 733 hijra detailing the life of sheekh Isxaaq and his house and genealogy and mission to Harar ,Zaylac and Mayhdh.Currenly its housed in A-Daahiriya Libarary of Dimashq.
2- Al Dur Al-Muntakhab Fi-Laqab Wal-Nasab.
Over 5 manuscripts followed, such as:
3- Sheekh Cabdifataax al-Azhari, titled, Al-Curwatu Wathiiqa fi nasab al-Isxaaqiyiin.
4-Mubiid Al-Nudayri al-Ba'alwai titled Thamrat Al-Mushtaaq Fi Manaaqib Sheekh Isxaaq.
A Somali who can read Arabic and is able to access old Arab books and lierature needs not to ask who the somalis are, somali history is all been recorded, it just needs to be transalated and colleced , books such as:
5- Buqyat Al-Amaal Fi Taariikh Al-Soomaal written by again Mubiid Al-Nudayri Al-B'awali (Sayyid Abu Bakr)from the famouse Ba-Alawi house of the prophet of Tarim, Yemen.
6-Adhwaa (lights) Calaa Taariikh Al-Soomaal written by Shariif Maxamed Caydaruus (1933-1999) of famouse Ba-awali family of Somalia and the last elected mayor of Muqdisho in 1968.
7- Al-almaam Ba-min Fi Ardh al-Xabasha min Muluuk al-islaam by Al-Maqriizii , regarding the history of Zaylac and Ifat Islamic sultanate.
Finally somali origin can easily be decoded with a research fund of less then 30,000, everything is there to be collected and then decoded.
BabayGirl,
I know Dhulos trace 22 99% of them on average while the restof Daarod trace 35 on average, don't aske me why but there is something fishy, one thing for sure is both of them can't be right only one, but whitch...?

Re: Arab boy laughs to hear My Arab descent!!
arent Majeerteen, Warsengali and Dhulbahante the sons of Harti?........then shouldnt they have the same number to darood?
Re: Arab boy laughs to hear My Arab descent!!
Logically yes, but they don't, Dhulos traces 22 to daarood even their modern Garaad:
Garaad Jaamac Garaad Cali Garaad Jaamac Garaad Cali Garaad Maxamuud Garaad Cali Garaad Maxamed Garaad Cali Garaad Maxamuud Garaad Maxamed Garaad Maxamuud Garaad Cali Garaad Maxamuud Jabane Garaad Maxamed Amiir Cabdalle Garaad Faarax Garaad Shirshoore Suldaan Habarwaa Suldaan Cabdalle Suldaan Muuse Suldaan Siciid Harti Koombe kablalax daarood.
=================22=========================
In my future book regadrding sheekh Isxaaq and Daarood Fact or Fiction, i would argue 2 points , :
1- either the dhulos are the only ligtmate decendant of Cuqayl based on their unique short lineage , after exactly fidning out how long ago Daarood lived.
or
2- That dhulos are not Daarood and hence a later editions to Daaroodism since their genealogy is 13 generation short of Daarood.
What would decide my line of argumen would be the exact date of Daarood life and arrival, and how may generations since then have elapsed 22 or 35??

30+ generations ago sure there may be have been Arab forefathers but intermixing across clan lines, speaking Somali...not Arabic has formed a newer nation than the Arabs.

So what does that have to do with the subject. Why are you denying other peoples heritage. They are Arabs and they should be proud of it.FAH1223 wrote:All Somalis look the same, we have like 10 different looksKing-of-Awdal wrote:

Re: Arab boy laughs to hear My Arab descent!!
i agree with salafi student
i had the debate with emperior the fool
the way i see it is there should be some concrete evidence to proof
where ones comes or originates from. you gotta understand that
even arabs had tribes so that means these so called arabs that settled in somalia
should have roots in where ever they came from. for instance the bedouins of sudan who originate from jordan but settled in sudan then inter married with the natives are well documented, not only in that country but in many other countries even in israel.
so how is it that the so called "2 arabs men" that settled in somalia
that number in millions, that had kingdoms and populate vast lands(somalia, djibouti, kenya, and ethiopia) are not documented as being an arabs who orignate from such and such tribe in some arab country, it doesnt make sense.
x.playa said theres books that proof this but authors write
what the hear and see, so in this case somalia being a country that
has people who spoke arabic, dressed like an arab, and believed
the same religion as the arabs and even resembled an arab(fyi yemen is so close you can swim there) is only common sense that he writes what the people tell him.

Re: Arab boy laughs to hear My Arab descent!!
Somalis are racially confused people, I hate this arab talk shit
Just claim to be native Horn African, what is so bad about that?
Isaaq and Darood are both bullshit stories, (Myself being Darod)
I probably have at least a few arab ancestors (male and female), I think..but that doesn't make me an arab.

Re: Arab boy laughs to hear My Arab descent!!
A man writting what he saw in east Africa in 10th century is called HISTORY my freind, who told you were Cushite?? some book right? or you just dreamt the word up.!!
Some of these books were written in the 10th century and 12th century, long before this "somali" you talk about even existed. Some of the authores wrote about contemprary men such the case of Mohammed Xasan Al-Basri who accompined sheekh Isxaq from Mokha Yemen to Zaylac Ethopia.
Are we going to argue that he was a liar from 1182 A.D, if thats the caste, one should argue all Human History was just an opinion of some men,.
