Somalis in general as reflected on this site are 'ignorant and arrogant' worst mix. Dont take them serious. Inshallah may Allah bless your marriage, house and kids.

I agree with Nobleman. Most Somalis lack class, manners and civility. Ignore them . Mashallah, you have a wonderful husband.

It is so caabe that this women we don't know, has to defend and explain her life to us....like she owes us something for being married to a Somali man....

When you marry a Somali person, you unfortunately marry the community who are nosy, busy bodies who feel they have to inject themselves in your lives. I was shocked to see how some of the men and women on this site behave. Calling me ugly and fat and critisizing my husband's choice for a wife.
I would let you know that my husband is a wonderful brother. He married me because he wanted to marry a sister that chose Islam. I married him because I loved the Somali culture and the people. You know I may be fat and ugly, but at the end of the day my husband chose me and he thinks that I am the most beautiful person in the world.
It still shocks me that some people will hate me just because I married a Somali man.

Amina don't listen to these idiots they are always hating on each other. This site is known to have really ugly ( fromt he inside) human beings, it's amazing what they say about people not just you...they are also tribalists. Amina, I am also from a somali-Arab Yemen mix family and trust me, they always find something to criticize. Thanks for the site, my family loved your recipes...even my mom is trying out some of your dishes.

Your husband sounds wonderful and your family looks beautiful not every Somali woman can get a man thats is that decent and a loving family man so there maybe bitterness directed at you.

Mashallah Nice family. Dont mind some of these people, their lifes revolve around judging other people. Also you might already know this that Somali people who marry outside the somali Line will always be hated on. By the way the food is Yummy. can i come over for iftaar one day.
