Claiming Ethiopian when you're Somali is retarded as hell. So instead of being seen as the skinny with ak-47, you want to be seen as the skinny who is hiv positive. Wtf?

And you're right Dawwa, I've seen many Somalis who changed their names into gaalo names. They're the worst.

Did the Europeans claim another country when they had Civil wars?

Did the Germans claim England in the Second Cold-War, or even the first, or when the masscared entire people?

Are the English claiming Nigeria because of their colonial past?

Bloody Heck! Till this day the white Americans claim their ancestors lands, most Somalis are bloody first generation, and you lot want to claim something else but Somalia.

I never claim anything but Somali so do not put me in that "lot". I have never SEEN Somalia in my LIFETIME. I was born and bred here, my parents came here long before this shid started. All the elders just say I am American, I can't even speak Somali good enough to have a conversation. Why I even claim to still be a Somali, I guess is just to have a sense of identity even if it is incomplete. If you don't know where you are from, you don't know where you are going. In terms of culture and what not, I am obviously much more American than a guy from Hiiraan where my origins are. Thats just the truth.

English, German, who cares those were huge wars with millions dying. Somalia is a spect compared to those conflicts

Somalis are entirely langaab, we are only 10 million people inside Somalia total. We managed to destroy our capital city, we managed to antagonize and make each other an enemy, and the cycle of revenge continues endless with one saga following another.

With this in place, I CAN understand why some Somalis do not want to claim Somalia and be associated with primitive clan ideologies and skirmishes that starve and mis place people. How Somalis in the West are more qabilist than the ones back home, we have so many problems and again I can understand why a person wouldn't want to be associated with all of that shid.

exactly my point. why some one cares or looses sleep over what some one else claims?
