hmm, good question!

there r good men out there, they just got their game all messed up abaayo and the same goes for us women. competition, competition, competition. men competing with women, women competing with men. no compromise. lack of understanding. lack of experience. ignorance. high standards.

so what if he's short. give him a chance.

somali women N somali men have got it all wrong. someone needs to sit them down N knock some sense into all of them. we all confuse cultural values with societal norms. the majority of us live in none islamic countries and have become accustomed to the practices and thus are confused about what to do. we can't go to our parents for guidance because they don't understand, we don't want them to judge us.

the key importances here is to know what we all want, and then practice to get what we want. as women, we want a good guy, succesful practicing (some of us) but what are we? are we respectful women who deserve good men? do we stay home? are we faithful or r we talkin to millions all at once? ironically, we all have our ideal man and women programmed in our head, but we go for and what we end up with are totally different.

I strongly believe that our major problem is:

- social skills, based in communication

There is a plenty of nice men & women out there, but nice does not matter if you can't have a decent dialog
with one another. Many young men don't know how to talk to a young lady & vice-versa, then how can you build up a realationship?

Both men & women must know how to carry out them selfs, by being your self. At the sametime make a steady move, to show that you are interested (there is nothing wrong in it).

And NOW you have to be careful: observe the feedback that you get; could be anything

a smile, body-language, the way he / she speaks, the words which are used, a blink even
observe & evaluate anything you can grasp.

Then you have information based on the feedback you got, so now you can make calculations:
if the person is worth trying or not. It can't be simpler than this can it?

And remember if you would like to be loved, then you have to be lovely (lovable).

Just remove the Somali prejudice and consider all Muslim men.

Let’s assume that the statistics collected by the UN in 2004 on world population are accurate. We can disregard the growth rate because no one is marrying 5 year olds. Now if accurate the world population is 50.3% male, let’s also assume that this applies to all categories of people.

No one really knows how many Somalis are out there but the current estimate is around 10 million, assuming that is accurate and the 50.3% rule applies there are 5.03 million Somali men. Given the belief that 99% of men should be considered pigs you are left with a ‘decent’ 1% which drastically reduces the number to 50,300. In all this we have ignored age; that is if you do not discriminate on education and location. Even if you are lucky and 60% of these are of legal marrying age you will have 30,180 decent Somali men who by the way are to be shared among all the women who are not willing to settle for pigs.

Stop discriminating and you realise that ‘decent’ Somali men make up <0.6% of the ‘decent’ pot! So be on your way and contribute to the deracifying of the world.
