I hadn't realized Jubaland remained such a clan-based minefield.
No it is not qabiil in the way of this force moving forward saaxib. Gedo from Shaatiloow on the border with Ethiopia to Gerlieey just outside of Diif is Marexaan. It is just that most young Marexaans in Gedo are hardcore al shababists and there is nothing that can change their mind to get them to put down their guns.

We're not saying every inch of this thousands of kilometres of land of "Jubbaland" is inhabited by Marexaan. What We are saying is that Gedo in general is a Marexaan affair. I have nothing against Ogadeen or any other clan, but facts are facts.

About using Marexaan slogans, why would the Doolow group be using that? That stuff doesn't fly in Somalia anymore, and people don't respond to clan battle war cries. Southern Somalia shacbi pretty much accept whoever has the upper hand (militairly). Even the biggest mooryaan in Somalia today will not say "I'm fighting for qabiil" that stuff is played out.

To be honest I don't really support Jubaland or al-Shabaab. They have brought the spectre of war to the Jubba Valley once again and it will be the townspeople, farmers and herdsmen who will pay the price.

This is true but its because they haven't been given hope. I think if they can be provided hope for a better life, they will put the gun down. Inshallah the people of Gedo find stability.

Abdurrahman Salad Ali better known as (Qoryoley), Somali parliamentarian told Shabelle, a local radio station based in Mogadishu that the transitional government is in transition period as its mandate is due to end up in August.

He said that Somali government is to open dialogue with the rebels, pointing out that Al shabaab has been fighting against TFG for more than three years
When ever TFG say that they are willing to open dialogue they are in retreat, If it happens it is a quicker method to peace and disarmament and the subsequent foundations on which peace will be built will be a far more stable one.

I think the guy is a Somali pretending to be a foreigner or he could be the gaalo boyfriend of Cirwaaq!

Whatever he is, Somalis here should not argue over his little maps. The guy did not travel to Somalia and he does not have people working for him travelling there and giving him facts on his little maps that he is running with. He is just browsing thru the Somali websites, talking to Somalis where every one will tell him we are the majority in every town, and throwing around bogus maps, and here you are guys arguing over it.

If this James Dahl guy have any interest of knowing who settles which town and who is controlling it, he needs to travel there and get the facts. Otherwise, every thing he posts is bogus and Somalis should not be arguing over what he is throwing around.

Let me give you folks some facts: PL custom office in Sool region is Tukaraq and some of the PL forces are stationed in close Gambadhe which is 20 KMs away from LA and he is telling us in his map PL does not extend beyond Garoowe checkpoint towards Sool. I see him running around with bogus maps and it does not make sense to me
