What's happening at your ends tho? Last time I checked Somaliland has some oil too around Berbera. You guys don't wanna make money?
Sounds good, they didn't force you into signing some BS 50yr contract
Berbera I always hear about oil being investigated there but not much afterwards. Personally I think the oil is at block 26 of this map below, especially a region called
Sheikh I remember hearing my uncles telling stories about the British investigating
Sheikh and finding something there.

Some field work geological surveys in block 26 collected by Prime Resource Limited between november-december 2006.
YEAR 1 (PSA INITIAL PERIOD) FINAL REPORT TO THE
MINISTRY OF WATER AND MINERAL RESOURCES,
GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOMALILAND PRIME RESOURCES LIMITED
BLOCK 26: REPUBLIC OF SOMALILAND JANUARY 2007
The field work in Block 26 Somaliland (Figure 1) was carried out at the request and with the support of Prime Resources Ltd of Jersey. Additional support was provided by the Somaliland Ministry of Minerals and Water Resources. The field study was designed to examine target areas identified in the course of the initial study of the petroleum potential of Somaliland. Originally, five targets were identified (see Figure 2)
Areas of the study.
A. Eeg/Ceek/Ceeg -Togdheer area: large roll-over anticline recognised on the satellite imagery and defined by two faults that are apparently associated with some sort of hydrocarbon seepages. This is a prime exploration target and a visit was deemed to be essential. B. Bihendula and Dagah Shabell area: best known section of Jurassic sediments including two important shale sections with source potential. C. Jurassic sections in the Borama – Bake area: apparently condensed, proximal carbonate successions with fault and fold structures likely to mimic those found at depth within Block 26. D. Hargeisa SE: fault blocks on the margins of the basin identified by geophysics. Also possible seeps identified on the satellite imagery. E. Odwayne area: faults and associated seepages.

E. Odwayne area: faults and associated seepages.
F.Between Odweyne and Gondawe + Gacanlibah area.
Subsequently, it was decided to remove Target B because of the publication of Ali, 2006 which contained geochemical data pertaining to the source shales (this is discussed in an up- date to the original report). Later Abdiwahab Yasim discovered an additional seepage between Odwayne and Gondawe and this was included as a target (designated Target F) along with some large sections of Cretaceous sandstones that were nearby (Ga’an Libah Mountain). The coordinates of the field targets are given below in Table 1:
