It is everywhere I'm afraid. Somalis unlike most other people in this world are people beset by what seems as insurmountable problems: pestilence, drought, famines, civil war, clan-based violence, rape epidemic, grand lacerny on massive scale including theft of public funds and food aid, environmental degredation, desertification, effects of global warming, pirates, terrorists who blow up innocent civilians on daily basis and religious extremism, mass illiteracy, poor health and sanitation, malnutrition, political instability, refugees, IDPs, virtually non-existant public infrastructure, war profiteers, jaat addictions leading to family break-downs, FGM, etc... with all these problems you'd think Somalis would give urgency to solving some of these problems. But no, we give more priority to talking about useless things like gossiping, qabiil nonsense, sexual innuendo, etc. Don't get me know, I don't mind knowing how wide Veiledgarbasaar's hips are or who is the cursed qabiil that reared the deranged hermaphrodite Sexy-Kitten. It is world important info but surely it can made subservient to more important life-saving problems facing us.
