After reading this thread... although I want to feel like I'm surprised by the responses, can't really say that I am.

Remember that topic posted about a Somali man with a West African woman, and everyone was like, "AW, ADORABLE. GOOD FOR THEM!!!!"?

These responses against this woman's character are clearly based on the fact that she's a woman. Clearly there must be something wrong with her if she chooses to marry a non-Somali man. This level of entitlement to women some Somali men have is ridiculous. Somali women don't owe y'all a thingggggg.

Don't really care. My opinion usually is "people do whatever they like", doesn't have much of an affect on me. Problem only arises when folks try to justify their actions by placing blame on invisible boogeymen. That's about the only time I'll put in my two cents.

What's with this stereotype that Somali women marry unbefitting white converts? My first cousin is half Dutch and her father has the most becoming of muslim manners, an education a well paying job and loves his daughter very much.

He even came to my grandfather before asking for marriage and he approved due to his exemplary islamic manners. even my grandfather said my aunt doesnt deserve such a good man.
