Seriously, you put more credence to flimsy oral history than in DNA? The fact remains that all of the origin myths are simply that, myths. There's nothing to suggest that an Isaaq and his Dhulbahante or Gadabursi neighbor come from different stock, other than fantastical claims of being descendants of two Arab exiles who happen to be related to the Prophet himself. I'm more than confident that had the Prophet been born in Zimbabwe, many clans in Somalia would have claimed descent from Shona speaking peoples.

It's ludicrous to suggest that two Arab men who were conveniently related to the Prophet of God himself fathered millions of black Somalis who interestingly share the same exact paternal haplogroups with the other supposed non-Arab descendant Somalis, millions of other Horn Africans, and share an older ancestoral clade with pretty much every North/NorthEastern African.

If a father told his son the name of his father and the same process again and again, and then when you go to different families of the same tribe, you have different names up until your common ancestor this is no 'fairy' tale. We were around half a million only 50-60 years ago. And maybe
200 thousand at the turn of the 20th century
My great Grand father who lived about 80 years ago claimed
he knew all the families of Sacad Muuse by name at least.

It's only in the last few decades there's been a phenomenal growth amongst Somalis,
it therefore fits that 1 man could be the ancestor of 2-3 million people.
