From "who in their right mind would trust MJs" to "I have nothing against MJ." Whatever happen to consistence sxb.Colonel wrote:@Transformers - I have nothing against MJs however Puntland isn't the most trustworthy party out there. MJs are welcomed to do as they wish in the region but the leadership roles are for The House. When an Ogadeni gets a high position in Puntland, so will an MJ in Jubbaland. Until then The House shall continue its reign over the deep south.
And if I may ask what exactly are your reasons for Puntland being untrustworthy?
Who settles where in Puntland is very well established the Harti, Lelkase, Awrtable, the Arab Salah, etc. have all been given their fair share of representation in all levels of governments local and state. Anyhow once the democratization process is complete come 2014 it won't be business as usual since the geographic distribution of representatives will depend upon voter turnout in all eight regions. Who knows maybe in 20 years down the road from now Bosaso might have a Ogaden mayor, I would definitely not object to it. Puntland has all along been hitting the right notes, it strongly believes in empowering the locals as opposed to the central government among many other things, it's just that individuals such as yourself are easily blindsided with Khalid Ali, Hutuking, etc. usual one liners which is a shame about "the arrest of the two ONLF Officials," which may I remind you remains the first and last only unfortunate even since the arrest in 2008. They really don't hesitate to drop in with that line like a broken record every time we put aside our differences and look to the future hand in hand.
I have no ill feelings toward Ogaden and neither should you. Dangirl and Ina Adan have been good ambassadors and I can only hope to fill their shoes.
