It doesn't matter to me how much anything in your life costs. In fact if I didn't know that you had at one point owned a Hummer I wouldn't have said anything when you started judging these people and their "lavish" wedding. It's about you trying to come across as morally superior than those around you. Why judge them in the first place?

I am sure for a person who is in a community where you are looked down upon for not owning a Porsche you know what a lavish wedding looks like and let's be honest this one is far from it.

me, i only do luch for nikaah.... labo ari van qali kaha iyo barees . or just shaah, qahwa, iyo biyo sahah. cause they rich people , they dont need my lunch. max $200

If i'm extremely rich I would go for a lavish wedding party, its good for rich people to spend their money, thats the whole point of being rich. But me personally for my wealth status I would go for average spending. Around 5 thousand pounds/ 8 thousand dollars.

But for dowry hopefully she will accept very cheap price, cause I want a blessing marriage.

jas, im somali, my school mates, mybe hammer second hand is for poor filipino. but as somali i felt guilty. is not about society is where i came from. im may consider wealthy but far from it. that is why i came cross judging. reality i wasnt judging, just felt that one night money waste could do a lot to some one else.
