BV, TBH Somalis do all sorts of crap that's un-explainable, I agree, you can't blame the actions of few individuals on an entire group. Its best instead of pointing out one old man who was killed, anyone can just as easily point out plenty that were wrong done on either spectrum. Somalis as a whole, know one another really well, you know as much as I do, If I attacked Galmudug, were we both live and I attempt to take over, You
re the victim and I'm the culprit, you get what I'm saying, that same concept applies to S/hoose. If you can't accept that, than lets agree to disagree.

Ask yourself this question, why was Barawe not depopulated when the SPM and Darood militias passed through. However, when the USC ventured into Barawe, it resulted in mass rape and looting. For your information, I was there when the USC entered Barawe and remember hearing the screams of the townfolk at night as the USC militia had their way with Barwani women. Ask any Barwani if you do not believe me.
I think your missing the bigger picture here, whatever happened to Tunni they brought it upon themselves, you do realize Tunni in Both S/hoose and J/dhexe sided with Darood looting and killing everyone who wasn't darood, theirs actually a video online proving this, USC taught them a lesson in Barawe for their betrayal which was their stronghold at the time.
Warya, I am referring to the light skinned Barwanis, not the Geeljire Tunnis.
Their all sub-branches of Tunni, what difference does it make.

HG effed up big time but they weren't alone. The niggas that really effed up real good in the civil war were HGs, abgaals, Mjs, OGs, marehans. Note that poor innocent folks who happened to be part of these clans also suffered. The people who didn't deserve it but suffered the most were reer xamars and raxanwayns.

There were more casualties on the darod side than hawiye because after the government collapsed, a qabiil cleansing begun in xamar. Also majority of the wars took place in places where the majority of the population were darood, hence the more casualties. I know a guy who killed a darood guy who was married to his sister in xamar in 1991 just because. I know another who killed his uncle in xamar around the same time. From that point on, hawiye started killing anyone who said they were darood to the point where they came as far as kismayo. No one should be hated for what happened some 20+ odd years ago but you should understand the reasons as to why there is such hate.
Inalilaah wa inaa ileyhi rajicuun, Iblis himself came to mog in 1991, the people doing this cant possibly be considered to have been sane, they were under the influence of something strong

Bro, i got hairy balls, I aint an ukhti. Secondly, Allah help us because federalism will only pit one clan against the other. It is legalised anarchy in my opinion. If only Al Shabab were not extreme in ideology because Sharia is the only thing that can dispense justice fairly in Zoomalia. Furthermore, democracy is not a system suited to a backward clannist society such as ours. One man, one vote will result in rampant tribalism or alliance or tribes against another alliance or tribes. We are doomed. doomed I say!

Elite, are you telling me that no one was killed for being Hawiye by Darood?

It's disgusting what happened but let's not pretend evil was only committed by one party. It's just that Hawiye don't bang on about it or write books about it and say Caydiid raped them to try and get asylum (I kid you not it happened).

I can understand that Dir want to have the leadership of places where they feel they are native to. I understand that and in the qabiil system we have I'd support that. What I cannot understand or support is genocide. It's like if I said Dhusomareeb is Cayr, let's kick out or kill anyone who isn't. How exactly does that make any sense.

Armaan, the difference is that the proper Barwanis and the Tuuni herders lived seperate lives. The city was inhabited by the former and they were unarmed and neutral when the civil war kicked off. They do not even speak the same language. The Tunni herders speak AF-Tunni whereas the Barwani speak a language close to Swahili.

Jamine, abaayo, if you have a chance to oust the person that persecuted you for decades from your domain would you think twice and do a Mandela?

I am not referring to the innocent HG'S that did not play a part in any atrocities.

I am glad I didn't, doesn't sound very pleasant.

That said, I feel like Darood hold on to it. The same way 9 out of 10 SLand kids will talk to you about the Hargeysa bombings like they were there even if they were born in 2000. I could use AY as my excuse to hate all MJs, wouldn't serve any purpose. I think that just shows the mess that is qabiil and qabyaalad, you go round and round in circles and you find that everyone has a bone to pick.

I don't understand you mean would I let them continue to persecute, would I oust them but remain peaceful like Mandela or would I just go crazy and kill everyone?

If I have understood correctly I would oust them and hope we can remain peaceful. Did you know Caydiid's government had Darood representatives and Isaaq representatives etc?

It could have worked had MSB not been turned into a "Darood" figure and just been seen as the dictator he was.

Xata when qabiils do that arsasho thing it's the young and prominent not the old and frail.

Also when you say "her clan" you mean Indhocadde, be bloody specific, there's quite a few of us. Indhocadde himself is your people since he was born and bred in Sh.Hoose.
Jasmine, you know better than that, we are Somali; we identify by clan not by place of birth. How many Daroods or Isaaqs born in Mogadishu do you see claiming Mogadishu as their deegan. Qoofkasto deegan bu leeyehe, Habargidir waa Galgudud iyo Mudug.
muqdishu was about to become a darod city if it waas not for USC. You know the darod gov was giving land and property to darod and kicking people out

i hate people who try to rewrite something that happened a mere 20 years ago

BV, I have nothing against Hawiye personally, Now the problem lies with few misguided individuals nor will they change my views on how we see hawiye as whole. Peace will be established soon enough.

Tunni subbranches are Barawni, Camuudi, asharaaf etc.... Their all the same whether they speak May or Brava, their still one clan who sided with darood. Lets not sugar coat that these people were innocent, Tunni killed thousands of Sheekhaal, Bantu, Mushungaali, Gaaljecel families all throughout J/hoose, S/hoose even in Baydhabo they were looting and killing folks who had nothing to with this warfare, shooting down fleeing buses. When they're town was attacked they fought until they couldn't and offered their women as means to survive. I'm not making this up, ask them yourself.
